   Glad to see that this restaurant continues to be busy. Service is excellent and the food is very good. Our waitress told us about the special fish, nabeta, on the menu. We ordered the appetizer size that came with rice and vegetables...very tasty (fried whole fish with the sides) though pricey. I had read about this fish online and was curious since I had never tasted it. It is delicious, but again, expensive for a 1/2 lb. whole fish. We each had an entree afterwards and enjoyed the meal. Since our last visit (2024), curtains have been added to the windows which helps a little to soften the noise factor. Still, when you go, be advised that this restaurant is popular and noisy. Otherwise very enjoyable.

   Extremely noisy making it virtually impossible to carry on a conversation. Fresh whole fish was scrawny and only had three bites of fish for $42. Salads were good

   Great server, good cocktails. Our table had fish, salad and beef, all were prepared to order. The Cesar salad was a little heavy on the dressing for my liking, good flavor, just too much. As it filled up it got quite noisy. I would go back.

   Too noisy, bad acoustics, adequate service – but only adequate. The food was mediocre. My son‘s steak pupu was so tough it was like chewing shoe leather.

   Great little restaurant in Makawao. I army dinner right when they opened. Our server was great. Very attentive and friendly. We ordered several happy hour dishes and entrees. Started with buffalo wings, had the smash burger with truffle fries, wedge salad, truffle Mac and cheese, Kanaka stew and Fish and chips. Only disappointing thing was their malt vinegar too was missing and I didn’t notice it until I poured a ton of it on my fish 👎🏼. I would recommend a Hispanic you are in the area though.
