Service always seems to decline on Mother’s Day, no matter where you go, but our dishes were so poorly timed that a couple people were finished before others got served in our party of 6. This happened at both the main brunch entrees and desserts. Steak Tartare and Duck a l’orange both had strong flavors overpowering the dish, making them out of balance. Ambiance lost a star as one could simply look to the bar just 20 feet away and see stacks of wine boxes. Couldn’t they find somewhere out of sight to put them?

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. It took over 20 minutes just to get water after we were seated, which should have been a red flag. Sensing things might go downhill, we placed our food order as soon as our server finally came over. As time went on, we noticed several tables around us—who were seated after us—were getting their appetizers, entrees, and even desserts. We had to flag our server down to ask about our food, and she casually told us it would be out in 7 minutes. After another 20 minutes passed with no food, we asked for the manager. When the manager came, she apologized and told us they were just now starting our order—this was over an hour since we had been seated. I asked if our server forgot to put the order in, but the manager stuck to the excuse that the kitchen was backed up. I found that hard to believe given that all the tables around us (being served by other servers) were well into their meals. At that point, we told them we were leaving. We even offered to pay for the drinks we had, but the manager came back quickly and told us it was covered, again apologizing but never once acknowledging the server’s mistake. Blaming the kitchen might be the easy route, but it was clear the real issue was our server’s lack of attention and accountability. At the very least, own up to the mistake. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good service or honesty

Maison Pucha is a fabulous choice for lunch or for dinner! The food is delicious, the choices are varied and you will find outstanding French cuisine with some South American additional flavors that are exceptional! I highly recommend it to you for any occasion - business lunch, family gathering, or dinner for two!

We love meeting here for lunches. The food is always delicious and the specials change everyday. The wine list is marvelous, good selection and reasonably prices. The service is always fantastic. Our waiter is always attentive and helpful.

Lovely dinner and drinks. Food was good...empanadas, escargot, bouillabaisse and lamb shank all highly recommended. Drinks were good too. I asked them to make us rye sidecars and they were quite good. Michael did an excellent job serving us as well.

I met a friend for lunch here. Fantastic food! We had the tuna tartare for an appetizer. I ordered the salmon and she had the octopus for lunch. Wonderful service and it is such a pretty place! Gives you a European vibe. We loved it!

We had a bug in our water. The waffles were burned. We did have those issues corrected when we notified the server. Just surprised for the cost of the meal to have these issues. The food was good.

The food was amazing, although a couple of menu items didn’t match what was ordered. The ambience of the private room was elegant, relaxing, and enjoyable. Michael served as our host/server and did a wonderful job of taking care of our family event.

Undoubtedly the best onion soup and best Duck a l'orange in Houston.
