A drink ordered should not take 20 to 30 minutes to arrive at the table, nor should the waitress be reminded that steaks are not cut with butter knives.

The restoration of the ML has been done spectacularly. Having grown up in the area, the ML was our family place to go to. I was glad to read that the new ML had a dress code. It is unfortunate that they do not enforce it. We were seated by the fireplace area which was a huge mistake. The gentleman who was the live entertainment was exceptionally talented and his music enjoyable but he was so loud that the four of us could not hear each others conversation. If you go and want peace and quiet the bar is probably the best place to be seated. Can't understand why this guy wasn't in the bar. Our food was marginal at best. Supposedly, the head chef was out sick so possibly that is why the food was overcooked and served cold. Very disappointing. Very limited, pricey wine list. The staff was very nice but very slow. It took us about 1/2 hour to get the two bottles of wine we ordered when we arrived.

Food was excellent, but service wasn't. I thought my server forgot about us. The kid serving water was better than server.

From the minute you step in the door at the Magic Lamp Inn you are taken back in time, but in a great and classy way. The service and food was superb. The ambiance was fantastic. I loved hearing Frank Sinatra and those timeless classics in the background. The menus had a backlight making them easy to read. They were such a nice touch. I had the filet mignon, which melted in my mouth, and was one of the best I have had. My husband had scallops and everyone agreed they were the best thing at the table. The other two entrees our table had was the Tequila Chicken pasta and the New York Steak. My son was hesitant to order the Tequila Chicken pasta (he feels pasta dishes at non-Italian restaurants are often not up to par), but he loved it and would order it again. The New York steak great too. It was a big portion of meat and very flavorful. The Magic Lamp Inn is great for a special occasion and I would highly recommend it.

We have been having our annual Christmas dinner at The Magic Lamp for many years and were greatly saddened last year when they had closed! To our skeptical delight they reopened under new ownership….one of the reasons we go there is we love the atmosphere, it’s magical and were apprehensive the new owners would have kept it even close to the same. WOW, we were beyond impressed!!! Not only did they keep the atmosphere but they GREATLY IMPROVED it all while keeping true to the what makes The Magic Lamp so special!! The food was amazing, the service impeccable, and they even had a singer (not too loud, just the right volume) by the wonderful indoor fire pit!! I would highly recommend going!! Anna was kind enough to show us the outside dinning area that is still in the works 🥰 to say it was FABULOUS would not do it justice!! Can’t wait to dine at The Magic Lamp again, soon!!! Thank you to the staff and new owners for keeping such an iconic restaurant experience going!! Bravo 👏

Was very good.Had live entertainment, female singer that was very good.We were told there were only 3 people working in the kitchen and to be patient, But that wasn't necessary at all. Our meal arrived in plenty of time. Because of the cost I would maybe recommend this for once or twice a year on special occasions. Lighted menus were very much appreciated for these tired old eyes.

Amazing food, ambience, and staff! This was our first time at the Magic lamp. It did not disappoint! The decor was beautiful. The staff was attentive and caring. We all had steaks. They were exceptional and tasty. The woman singing was excellence and we even had a a personal magic show at our table! We loved it all and will be back and recommend it to everyone! Also, the noise level was actually perfect. We enjoyed music and we were able to hear each other speak. So often at other restaurants, the music is so loud we have to yell at each other. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise thank you magic lamp, and staff!
