New Restaurant concept now open in the heart of Fairfax City! Our upscale local restaurant specializes in classic craft cocktails, delicious world comfort food, then rounded out with local craft beers and a selection of quality wines. Owner and chief mixologist Joshua Alexander brings his vision of quality craft cocktails both classic and modern to his beloved hometown. A tasty and eclectic menu crafted by Chef Joe Sullivan has become a go-to for local diners over the past year, for unique taste and quality. A casual but upscale atmosphere is great for date night, a beer with friends, or a business happy hour. We have a large dog-friendly patio for those nice days and we showcase free live music!

We were late arriving and called ahead, and the restaurant kindly held our table. The manager personally came to our table several times, and made sure we were fine. I appreciated that. The live music was very nice. However, the menu is limited and I was quite disappointed in my food. I ordered a wedge salad, which was specifically described as including bacon. However, there was no bacon on my plate, and the lettuce used was romaine (wedge is supposed to be made with iceberg).

I made a reservation at the restaurant just a day prior, only to show up the next day and find it completely CLOSED! What kind of place allows reservations if they’re not going to be open? To make matters worse, this happened during Fairfax Restaurant Week. I will never attempt to dine here again. There was no signage indicating the restaurant’s name, and despite an 'open' sign still in the window, the front door was locked and the place was clearly closed.

I had to put at least one star otherwise I could not write a review. I don’t know if it was Mackenzie’s error or Open Tables error but my reservation was accepted for last night on Monday. We got to the restaurant at 7:39 to find it closed. Needless to say, as a party of 4 we were not happy. We’ve been to Mackenzie’s and enjoyed it so I don’t have anything bad to say about the food or service there.

I have never NOT enjoyed myself here. Josh is awesome and the wait staff are fun and adorable! I cannot say enough about Larry!

Seems like a place that shouldn’t take reservations and they didn’t really have anyone working the door. Found the food bland, cocktails were watery and service was slow. We weren’t there for any live music so may be a good venue for that but not great for just dinner out.

Great meal and service. The jambalaya was very good. Nashville chicken sandwich and French fries were excellent. Music a little loud for our taste.

The owner has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is a place we hope to make a regular stop for some great tunes and good eats (and cocktails)!
