   We’ve been once before and this was not a great experience. I realize it’s New Years Day but if the service is going to be so slow and bad maybe you should reconsider whether or not you should be open. It took forever to get any service or check in. The initial table given to us (it was very empty at 5pm) wouldn’t work because the super tall high chair puts the baby a foot away from the table?? Should not be considered a solution, ever. Also took at least 10-15 min to be greeted by our waiter. I think it kind of sucks that because we weren’t in the bar area I can’t order a fish taco? I love fish tacos but wasn’t able to order one. I would have gladly paid a non-happy hour price. Food was mediocre. Oysters were good, shrimp cocktail was a bit overcooked, 2 people ordered lobster roll and didn’t like it. A lobster roll should be big chunks of fresh lobster, not a lobster salad (like a crab or tuna salad). The crab cakes were of similar nature. Again I can understand it’s a holiday but we would have rather gone elsewhere if we knew it’d be so disappointing.

   Our New Year’s Eve celebration couldn’t have gone better! From the amazing, delicious libations enjoyed at the bar to the excellent service provided by Kale, our server, the night was truly unforgettable. I highly recommend Lure!

   We’ve eaten here many times since it opened fairly recently; it’s a great addition to our restaurant scene. The dining room is very sophisticated but it was a little too dark last night. We had to use the light from our phone to read the menu since the little candle didn’t do much and the light fixtures were very dim, creating a nice atmosphere but too extreme. We told our server, Kale, that we were going to the symphony so he was quick to put in our orders and get us out in time. The food seems consistently good but I’m not sure if I would order the salmon again. The piece was thin and a little overcooked. Overall, we were pleased.

   We were looking forward to a special meal at Lure to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The food was very good, but unfortunately the experience was a huge disappointment because of the poor service. We arrived at 3:45, and the restaurant was nearly empty. Even so, after receiving our menus & ordering beverages, we waited 15 minutes for drinks to arrive. Then we were only served water and straws for our drinks after another 15 minute wait. We waited another 20 minutes for our appetizer, which came only a few minutes before our main courses. We decided not to order dessert because we figured this would involve another long wait. Our overall impression was that the restaurant was either severely understaffed for this important holiday, or there were serious organizational issues. This might explain why our server seemed so stressed and frankly grumpy.

   I would suggest that this is better for lunch or an early cocktail and appetizer. I would not return for dinner

   It was a busy Friday night. The restaurant was nearly full. The noise level was too high for much conversation to be heard. Food was very good and the service was prompt.

    The food was very good. The service was good and fast. Our drinks and appetizers were at the table before the server had left. Ordering with the remote communication by the server provided quick service. I had Sand Dabs that were prepared perfectly. This is our second visit and with family enjoyed our evening. My only complaint is the noise level.
