Lumbre is a tribute to the abundance of Baja Sur. In the kitchen the main component is the product of its land and seas; the most powerful tool is firewood; and global techniques are the perfect complement to enhance its flavor, providing balance and personality. We work with local fishermen, ranchers, and farmer friends to find the best existing products.
NEAT, our Lounge Bar upstairs has the most exciting and cosmopolitan vibe in town for a great night of drinks and chill.The atmosphere separates and transmits a different vibe to the dining area. Chillout and Live Music on Sundays, signature mixology and a special finger food menu to accompany the moment and a pleasant chat.

Lumbre is a must-visit spot. The space is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of beautiful details that make it feel warm and inviting. The food was the real highlight. From the Bone Marrow Butter and Bread to the Share the Fire, everything was packed with flavor and perfectly executed. The sea bass in the Share the Fire was the standout dish—tender and delicious—and the flan-like donut for dessert was the perfect sweet ending. Service was excellent, with staff picking up on little details like adjusting the AC without us even asking. Overall, Lumbre nails it with great food, a welcoming vibe, and attentive service. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious inventive food. Perfectly cooked fish,beautifully presented. Service excellent- knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely a venue to be recommended and revisited - this was our second visit and was even better than the first in 2023.

Amazing food, service, atmosphere, and value! One of the best meals I have experienced in Mexico - or anywhere! Will definitely be back and recommend to friends and family visiting San Jose del Cabo.

Excellent choice. Our appetizer was plentiful and very tasty. We both orderedsteaks and they were cooked perfectly. Though we did not partake the wine and liquor selections were plentiful. Definitely a go to restaurant in San Jose.

Food took two hours to get to our table, it was a 3 hr long dinner. I was unimpressed with the flavors and wait time for our dinner. It was our first time dining with them so I shouldn’t knock them. We had Carbón Cabron 2 nights before and they set the standard for wood fired cooking in Cabo, we even ate there twice during our trip. Flavors had little dimension and depth, mild and weak at times.
