Luke is a Creole-inspired Brasserie located in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District on world-famous St. Charles Avenue, steps from the French Quarter neighborhood. A lively atmosphere surrounds the raw bar offering the freshest seafood and oysters procured daily from the Gulf of Mexico.     Despite having reservations on a Sunday, it still took 10 minutes of standing like sardines in the entrance to get seated. The pace was slow. Drinks arrived about 15 minutes after seating. Starters arrived and were finished before main orders were taken. We were served entrees at an hour after seating. The starters were all liked. The entrees were hit and miss. Dessert was good. Overall, it was good but not sure if the experience was worth the time.

    We had a wonderful dinner. Try to reserve a table with a view of the kitchen. We loved watching the kitchen staff prepare meals.

    Focaccia bread was delicious. So were the bbq oysters and streak. Shrimp and grits were some of the best I ever had.

    One of my favorite places to eat in New Orleans. It perfectly balances great service and great food. It’s a nice place but it’s not stuffy or pretentious. Great for a special occasion or a romantic dinner

    Luke’s is an absolute must when in NOLA! We came three times during our trip because the food was just that good. The fresh oysters were incredible, the grits were perfectly creamy, and the pork belly had the most amazing flavors. Every dish was a standout, and the service was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!
