Located in University City, Louie Louie is an American bistro with a French inspired menu offering seasonal, ingredient-inspired dishes based on a classical combination of flavors. House-made pastries and an extensive beverage program highlighting wines by the glass and bottle as well as seasonal specialty cocktails and craft beers add to the dining experience. The décor pays homage to Art Nouveau and European cafes with a touch of the 1970s. Traditional wood tones, reclaimed subway tiles, tried and true black and white marble stones as flooring and wainscoting and blue and buttery leathers, fabrics and patterns bring color and graphic identities to the space. The Lounge offers custom lux seating, perfect for gathering with friends for cocktails and snacks. Outdoor seating reminiscent of French cafes is the ideal spot for dining and people watching.

Oysters were great! Bananas Foster Waffles was great, the waffles themselves were underwhelming. The Crab Louie Salad was good, lots of crab for each bite. Could have had a little more flavor. Overall, ambiance and service were perfect. Wonderful date destination.

The food was solid and the decor is funky (not in a bad way). Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. One big issue was pacing of the meal. While some may like a quick-paced meal, our service felt very rushed. We ordered, and our first course came out almost immediately. Not necessarily bad, but a bit unusual. However, we were still eating our first course when our entrees arrived. There was no room to digest the first course, and I like a bit of breathing room between courses. Overall, a pretty good dining experience, and the French classics were well executed. I would totally recommend dining here, and will return.

What an amazing place! The staff is fantastic, the food is amazing, and the vibe is cool. It's the best restaurant in University City.

We were so happy with our meal here! The food was incredible, even just my side of scrambled eggs were delicious! Our cocktails were also delicious, but the real standout here is the service. Our waiter was so helpful and attentive, and went above and beyond since we were celebrating our anniversary. We loved everything about our meal here and will definitely be back in the future!

Great choice in University area. Fun atmosphere and great service. Our server Chris was knowledgeable, friendly and personable. Nice variety of food options.My salad nicoise was very good.

Warm welcome from the host. Grabbed a quick cocktail during happy hour with very friendly service. Enjoyed our dinner and service with John. The Crab Louie salad and deviled eggs were scrumptious. The mussels and fries also packed a ton of flavor. Never take the white cosmo martini off the menu. It’s the best!

Great food. Poor service. 2 Drinks were ordered at the start of the meal. One arrived 45 minutes later. The second drink never arrived. Waiter was unavailable for most of the meal and made no effort to assist.
