   We have been to Louie Bossi several times since moving down here and at the Fort Lauderdale location, always had a good experience. Good food and good service. This time however, that was not the case. First, they wanted to seat us outside, which we had not requested, so we had to wait an additional 5 minutes for an inside table. Then, the first 2 bottles of wine we ordered were out of stock, but the 3rd one was actually quite good. It took a while for the waitress to finally take our orders for the entree, and we had to ask for bread rather than it being brought to us. From then on in, things went downhill. Approximately 30-40 minutes after placing the order, we still hadn't received our food. Additionally, at an adjacent table whose occupants were seated around the same time and served by the same waitress, not only received their food, but ate it and had the leftovers wrapped to go while we still hadn't received our food. Our order was definitely not complicated, it was 2 entrees on the menu that we've ordered previously without any undue delay. The waitress, several times engaged in conversation in Spanish with the aforementioned adjacent table, and I believe that she failed to place our order when we gave it to her, and when we asked how much longer, realized her mistake and only placed it then. After an additional 15 minutes or so we sought out the help of a manager and decided we no longer wanted the food as it was 10 PM, and we only had 20 minutes left on a 2 hour parking meter. The manager did apologize and offered to wrap our meals to go and comp them, but one of the entrees was various types of shellfish, which can't really be reheated. We declined the offer, the wine and appetizer were also comped as I was not going to pay after this treatment. I am always talking up this restaurant to friends and acquaintances, and we have taken family and friends who have visited there for dinner. After this, I don't know if we will return.

   We have eaten here many times, always enjoying the food, the lovely garden & the pleasant staff. Tonight was not such a night. It began with our being seated at a table with a huge fan blowing so hard that it was impossible to hear my fellow diners & I felt like i was in a wind tunnel! They did eventually change our seats, however one of the diners stated 3 times that she wanted the special tonight, lasagna. While we did wait to order bc we thought our table would be changed, when we did finally place our orders. the waitress returned to say they were out of lasagna! Why she didn’t put an order aside is beyond my understanding. We then waited for almost an hour for our meals to arrive. We spoke with the Manager who seemed to coincidentally find our dinners within two minutes after our complaint. The final straw was when the waitress came over to say she’d like to comp us dessert. We assumed one for each, but no- one for the table! At that point my husband asked for the manager to remove part of the cost of the check. He refused. We left, completely unhappy & never got even the one dessert promised. The dinner, a pre holiday celebration was a bust!

   Here’s a sample review you can use: I had an incredibly disappointing experience. From start to finish, it was nothing short of a disaster. The service was painfully slow—our food took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and when it finally did, it was stone cold. It’s baffling how a restaurant can serve cold food after such a long wait. When we brought it up with the staff, they didn’t seem particularly concerned or apologetic, which made the experience even worse. The lack of attention to detail and basic customer service is unacceptable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was beyond frustrating. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

   The menu had some excellent choices, creative and traditional Italian creations. Our meals included 2 pizzas and 2 sandwiches. The thin crust pizzas were delicious, cooked to perfection with quality ingredients- cheeses, including one with pears and Gorgonzola. A wonderful combination of sweet with the bite of cheeses. Unfortunately our start was very rocky. Our server spilled a glass of wine on one person in our party. We had already placed our order at this point. Oddly we DIDN’T hear from anyone - including wait staff or managers until after the food arrived. We started to move ourselves to another booth because the seat was very wet although no staff offered to assist us. To add insult to injury a spill happened a second time as a different server walked by our table. Soaked a second time makes for an unfortunate and unpleasant overall experience. When managers came over after our meals were complete - now multiple times to apologize - offering to comp the person’s meal and a dessert. Although much appreciated, waiting until we are completely done with our meals just didn’t make us feel like they were at all concerned with any immediacy. A little late to apologize in my opinion. There was definitely an energy level that rivals a sports bar. Overall, great food at a good value with a vibe but we will wait until after the holidays and high season to go back.
