We had a fabulous birthday dinner at the Lotus last night. The great part about it was that we were able to mix having Chinese food, but also had a few sushi rolls. The food was fresh and the staff were so attentive. Can’t wait for the next trip back.

Excellent mixed-Asian food, as always. I highly recommend their sushi rolls, and their Crispy Fish Hunan Style, as well as their wonderful soup dumplings. Oener Michael always stops by with a friendly hello, and server Chris is wonderful. Nice atmosphere and ambiance as well. All-in-all, you can't go wrong trying Lotus among all of the choices in downtown Farmingdale.

Since Lotus reopened a couple of months ago we have been there 5 times. Before they closed it was our favorite Chinese restaurant. We have been there with 5 different couples and each time it was wonderful. Two of the couples said it was the best Chinese food they ever had. All said they will be coming back. They have a sushi chef and twice I who love sushi had it twice. It was excellent in taste and presentation. The shredded beef is my favorite Chinese dish. It is supposed to be a bit spicy, but they can prepare it up or down to your preference. From our and our friends experiences, you will be happy with any choice you make. The owner is very nice, friendly and walks around the floor and the wait staff are friendly and efficient. Try it, you will be back.
