   Open Table Requests not honored. This was to be an impressive first“welcome to Hawaii“ dinner for my guests. I made reservations a week ago and asked for a patio table with sunset view. Upon arrival we were told first come first served on patio. We were offered a table by the bar in front of a large pillar We were shown to an indoor table in a dark corner. Noise was such my husband at the other end of a table for 6 could not hear the conversation. This made total ambiance rating a big zero. Thus Italian restaurant serves pasta without spoons and without topping Parmesan cheese offered. Plates were hot but eggplant parm and risotto were lukewarm warm as in reheated. Chicken piccata was good. We were not pleased this evening, leaving in the dark. No sunset experience.

   Food and service were good. Especially liked the Waimānalo salad. Wish I would have substituted regular mashed potatoes for the uhe mash with my fish. Not really worth the price, but considering the location, I guess it is.

   Longhis never disappoints. The food is good, reasonably priced, portions are large, and there is almost never a wait for a table. Idk how they do it. Ambience was awesome.
