   We had an amazing Valentine’s Day dinner at Lola’s! The food was excellent - we shared the brussel sprouts & sweet potatoes, Carpenter salad, steak frites, & truffle fries. The service was fantastic - prompt, attentive and courses well timed. And a complimentary glass of Prosecco for Valentine’s Day! We can’t wait to come back!

   Showed up 5 minutes early to my reservation, they still didn’t have a table ready which is perfectly acceptable as my reservation isn’t for another 5 minutes. We were invited to sit at the bar so we grabbed a quick drink before the greeter told us our table was ready. She was very polite. After sitting down at our table, it took a while for our server to finally come see us, and I mean a WHILE. I understand that it was a Saturday and they were well booked but it shouldn’t excuse having the appropriate staff to accommodate for the volume of guests in the restaurant. Our server finally greeted us, didn’t seem too happy that I requested the Restaurant week menus for some reason even though that’s what we came in for. I believe she was stressed so that’s why she came off as if she didn’t want to be there. So as you can tell we felt unwelcomed. The food took forever to get to the table. To give you insight, our reservation was at 7:30pm and we weren’t out of there till a little past 10:30pm. For an appetizer, entree, and dessert. I wouldn’t imagjne a table of 2 staying at a restaurant past 2 hours, especially when they made us wait so long for our first course. As for the food, the Lola’s salad was a 100/10, Caesar salad was mid. Steak and frites were really mid, fries are almost carbon copies of Mcdonalds fries, except these are coated with minced garlic and herbs, steak was cooked well for the most part, it felt like it needed a better seasoning for it to stand out from other restaurants. My friend got a chicken dish, I don’t remember the name but hers was better than my steak. Very tasty and great portions. For dessert I ordered their version of a pazookie and it was great. Overall, food was fair, price was reasonable-ish, my service experience was poor but hopefully if you go, it’ll be on one of their better nights. Given that I went on Restaurant week that’s possibly why they were busy and stressed? I would not come back due to the long wait times and service

   I used to love going to Lola’s, especially for happy hour, but my last visit was a huge disappointment. I had guests in town and was excited for them to try it, but the service was unbelievably slow—drinks took 30 minutes to arrive, and we waited two hours for our food. We ordered apps and entrees at the same time, but it still took forever. To top it off, our steak came out well done when we ordered it medium rare. Definitely not the experience I was expecting.

   I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lola’s with a group of 9, which included two children, we had an outstanding experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our waitress, Eva, was friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone’s needs were met - accommodating my mother in her 80s and grandchildren. The food was delicious and the ambiance is equally impressive. It’s perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. I highly recommend Lola’s for anyone looking for great food, exceptional service and a comfortable, welcoming experience.
