My wife and I originally met at the library bar 11 years ago. We returned on New Year’s Day for a celebratory lunch, but there were a few issues. Personally, let me say that our server was really great and tried to fix as many things as she could. For some reason, the bar was super cold. Also, it was relatively empty, but for some reason we were seated right next to another party who were rather loud. Our main complaint is that we ordered appetizers and mains, but for some reason, the kitchen brought everything out altogether, and my wife’s entrée was no longer warm. Thankfully, our server took the appetizer off our bill, but I hope it didn’t come out of her pocket. It wasn’t the end of the world, and my steak frites were actually pretty good, but not sure if we’re going to return if our experience mirrors small town Ontario.

Overall the experience was nice for an nye event but the food was not good. It was an odd combination of courses. Definitely not worth it.

Lovely late afternoon bite to eat. Food was impeccable and service was excellent. Great place to sit back for a drink and good conversation.

It was great, I did make reservations and we did get a table but it was difficult to eat a meal at this table. It was low and we were in the way of the servers going to the kitchen. Unfortunately that wasn’t great!

The Library Bar is one of favorite cocktails bar in the downtown area. The amazing service and specialty cocktails makes it a great place to celebrate a special event. The kids menu includes amazing favorite and dessert.

Wonderful and attentive service from the front reception and the wait staff. Nothing was too much! The food was superb (salmon, mushroom on toast with the most savoury of gravies, and v filling cob salad). Highly recommend The Library Bar for ambience and v attentive wait staff! Ah, and the Prosecco, chilled and delicious!
