In 2004, French Chef Paul Collange introduced the tradition and authenticity of French cuisine to Boca Raton, creating Le Rivage. His passion for cooking and dedication to quality set a high standard for the culinary experience we strive to provide every day.

In 2023, the baton was gracefully passed to us, Mila and Jacques, a French couple imbued with the spirit of Parisian restaurateurs.

With years of experience, we cherish the same belief that has always been at the heart of Le Rivage: the secret to exquisite French cuisine lies in high-quality ingredients, meticulous preparation, and the rich, satisfying flavors of each dish.

With a 7:00pm reservation, we ate there on Valentine’s Day as a group of four. A few overwhelmed, understaffed, and largely untrained servers were on hand. It took 45-minutes from being seated to anyone appearing at the table. People had been there 2-hrs without receiving their main dish, and diners were leaving in open disgust. How do I know 2-hrs is not an exaggeration? I was there exactly 2-hrs earlier dropping off flowers & cards for the 3-female members of our group. Our understanding is that they had only one of 2-cooks in the kitchen. No one represented the new owners. It used to be one of our favorites, but in spite of the good food, why eat there again? Oh they called a few days prior for a $20pp deposit. At the restaurant, I had to prove via credit card statement that I paid $80. The restaurant actually charged me $80.00 plus TAX (as a sale) but even with proof, only credited me back the deposit w/o sales tax - petty. With everyone complaining, it was an overcrowded ZOO!!

Upon arrival the person who sat us gave us a choice of 2 tables neither of which were acceptable. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and there were plenty of other tables available. It was 6:15 pm. I asked for the manager and he rudely said to me “what do you think I can’t do my job?” I said u am asking for the manager and we would like service. The manager sat us at an acceptable table. After 20 minutes, our order was taken. It took a 1/2 hour to get our escargot appetizer which was delicious. We asked for more bread which never came. It took an hour before our dinner arrived. Very unacceptable. On top of that mine was lukewarm and my friends was cold. She sent hers back which took 10 minutes before it came back and it was still cold. Needless to say, very disappointing. I ordered the branzino which was dry tasteless and so was the risotto. My friend ordered the flounder which was also tasteless and cold. We left most of the food over, and tried flagging down the waitress for the check. We wanted to pay and leave. It took another 20 minutes to get the check and then we sat there waiting for someone to take it. This was not cheap, not good, and very disappointing. We will not go back.

Our server took our order and never came back to the table. Another server checked on us and was very apologetic that it was taking so long for our food. We waited over an hour for our entrees… one was over cooked and the other raw so we ended up paying and just leaving and went somewhere else for dinner.

The food and service was very good and my wife and I will certainly return...The atmosphere is a little dull and dated, but very clean. Just short of excellent, overall.

The escargot was delicious as was the pate. But the fishes: branzino- minuscule portion of which most was skin; swordfish- dry. The coffee was bitter and undrinkable.

Arrived at reserved time of 7 o’clock and left at close of restaurant three hours later. Waited one hour for appetizer, one hour for entrée and at 10 o’clock finally received the bill. Discarded my leftover dinner instead of giving it to me. owner must improve service or risk losing repeat business, which could cause a failure to the business

Food was very good and pricing was very reasonable but wait time and service was terrible. We arrived at 7:10pm and no one offered us a drink or even acknowledged our presence for nearly 45 minutes. After placing our order we waited a further one ( 1 ) hour for our first course and another long wait for our main course. We did not leave the Restaurant until 10:15 pm. The Restaurant on a Friday night in South Florida was more than half empty. We never saw the 'new owners` they never came out and welcomed anyone and frankly we found the whole atmosphere very unfriendly. We went often to this Restaurant when it was owned by Chef Paul but unfortunately the experience is not one which we wish to repeat and will not be going back!

Food was delicious but we were there for 3 hours. It wasn’t the server’s fault, the kitchen was really slow. Don’t know if I will go back.

I read there is new ownership only after we dined there. Frustrated and disorganized staff had us waiting for a very long time for simple requests like bread or beverages. The entrees were just ok, dessert was the highlight. Hopefully the new ownership figures it out because it seems as if this place had glowing reviews prior and it won’t survive in this manner.
