Michelin-starred Le Jardinier is a unique and refined restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzeroli located in The Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

Rooted in timeless French approach, Chef Verzeroli has created a menu where plants play a prominent role: seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, and greens are complemented by wild and sustainable fish with local Texas meats. All our breads are gluten-free and baked in house.

Le Jardinier's light-filled space will evoke a feeling of relaxed-luxury and incorporate custom art pieces with outdoor dining set within an Isamu Noguchi-designed sculpture garden. In 2024, Le Jardinier was awarded one Michelin Star at Texas' Inaugural Michelin Guide.

We had a special, celebratory brunch here and it was marvelous. Service is impeccable, food is delicious and artfully presented, ambience is calming. Cocktails were yummy and beautiful; love that they create one to complement special exhibits.

Food was ok … service took forever and the atmosphere was ok but a lot of noise around of us from other guests … it did not leave up to the hype as Michelin star restaurant.

We had the chef’s 5 course meal with wine pairing. Only one course was very good and that was a soufflé. The rest of the courses were well below average. The beef was chewy, courses had dollops of sauces that weren’t coherent with the dish, the dessert didn’t taste like real apples and had an odd taste, the wine pours were scant (maybe 1/2 a normal pour you’d expect at a restaurant) and one pour literally tasted more like cherry cough syrup than wine. The service was slow so by the time the food came the wine was very low or gone. Very disappointing for a Michelin starred restaurant and for 700 you’d expect a fantastic meal. Houston has lots of better choices.

Took our friends to dinner to celebrate their recent wedding and our wedding anniversary. Had the chef’s tasting with wine pairings. Everything was exceptional. The food was excellent and the wine pairings were perfect. The service was fantastic as well. Overall, a wonderful experience. We will definitely return. Unlike some of the Michelin starred restaurants we have visited in Europe, this is a more relaxed experience which we appreciated.

Great atmosphere, scallops were great however they do not know how to pace courses and brought the second and main at the same time. Wagyu was medium and definitely not medium rare as my colleague had. I’m not exactly sure how they got a Michelin star. They either paid someone or threw their standards out the window as soon as they got the star. Had high expectations, very disappointing. Lots of potential.

The cheese course was delicious. Service very nice. Our entrees were cold all 3 in my party. Scallops, risotto and pork all cold. We waited about an hour for our entree which is expected with fine dining. However I do not think it was just fine dining. I am very disappointed in the experience.

This was our second time to dine at Le Jardiniere, and it was even better than the first time! The food was exceptional - we loved the fall menu. The mushroom risotto was sumptuous, and the pork chop with mustard coleslaw was moist and flavorful. The ambience and the service are unmatched. Such an elegant and refined evening!

Great place. Food was a bit pricey. Would have loved more explanation on the 5-course meal.

Good, not great. Expected more flavors and more proactive service from a Michelin star restaurant.
