   Was my husbands 85th birthday. Delicious dinner but no free dessert. Waiter tried very hard to lite a candle tho.

   Terribly disappointing! This restaurant has such a nice ambiance & great food; too bad their atrocious service prevents customers from enjoying it. We had an early 545pm reservation, the restaurant was only about 75% full. We were seated right away & greeted by our server; then she did not return to our table again for almost 15 mins. After asking one a runner to tell her we’d like service, she walked by us without any acknowledgment so, we decided to leave. We had dinner across the street in Arnie’s, where they actually serve you instead of ignoring you. Here’s the saddest part of this crap experience, which we’ve had here before with a larger party, when we couldn’t just walk out. Lavender Bistro will ignore this review, or just give it lip service, because they’ve calculated they will still be full most of the time anyway. My recommendation is don’t let them do it! Find another place worth your money & time.

   We walked in to the fabulous ambiance of the garden setting and were delighted. We were seated in our private tent ready to celebrate my birthday. The service was okay but nothing special. When I noticed the filet was even more expensive than Eddie V’s I thought way too much to order. We had the bacon wrapped dates that were very good to start. I had the beet salad and it was fine. I then ordered the lobster raviolis which I could not eat! They tasted old and fishy. Clearly I did not eat them and no one asked why. My friend did not eat the chicken curry and the server just picked her dish up without asking why. She said it was awful. I wish the waitstaff would have taken the time to make sure we were all happy with our selections. They were too busy to care.

   We went to celebrated a birthday. 1st time here and we are locals. The place is a hidden Gem. The ambiance was perfect. The staff and our waiter were great and made the night fun. Abe Perkis was fantastic on the keyboard. Overall food was good and the lemonade cocktail was amazing. She had the short ribs and I had the 14oz ribeye special. Hers was perfect and mine was kinda average. Honestly the steak kinda had no flavor and was somewhat overcooked. I ordered Medium rare and got more medium/well. I think they rely too much on the peppercorn sauce for the flavor than seasoning the steak, but that’s my opinion. All that being said we will definitely be back and will try another dish. If you’re looking for a date night or special occasion…THIS IS THE PLACE

   lovely garden setting but food is over rated and pricey for average quality. iur flat jron steak was too rare & it was 10 min after it arrived before waiter appeared to remedy.

   We have dined with you for quite some time. Two flat iron steaks were very grizzly. Chicken didn’t have as much flavor as before.
