   This Mediterranean concept is incredible. The food is to die for, baking fresh bread and as soon as you walk in, you can smell the wood-burning ovens. It’s a little hard to get Service at some point simply because they are very busy do you need to get terminal or. We had the hummus and arroz con mariscos and can recommend both. Eating at the bar is super fun as one can watch the kitchen prepare the dishes.

   Aloof staff who from the very start of the meal did little to make us feel welcome. Service throughout the meal was poor, with waiters either forgetting items that were ordered or trying to clear our plates before any of the food we’d ordered had been finished. The experience, considering the relatively decent reputation of the restaurant, was disappointing. The food was some of the blandest we had during our stay in CDMX. It’s a shame, as I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews, but I’d steer clear and try one of the other fantastic places to eat in the local area.

   Very good experience at Lardo, though I reserved a table and I was sat at the bar. The menu is huge, the food is tasty, namely the squash blossoms & pan con tomato with anchovy.

   Our table of 4 was served a variety of interesting and delicious dishes at the suggestion of our waiter. All were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was fast and efficient

    We had booked well in advance as we were visiting from the UK but still had to wait nearly 20 mins for our table During this time we were made to feel like an inconvenience It was very busy and felt a little like we were on a conveyer belt. The waiting staff didn’t smile once. The food was tasty and good value for this kind of place and area - although there is a lot of bread I had booked outside as it was lunch but it’s covered over with plastic and much less atmosphere so would have chosen to sit inside had I known that.
