Pizzas at Lagune Artisan are second to none - crispy crusts, light bases and delicious toppings. Service was great, friendly and quick (but not too quick). Nice buzzy atmosphere and casual vibe. Really enjoyed the evening - will definitely be back.

This was our 4th visit during the past 3 months. However, the lack of consistency, that characterises so many restaurants in the Central Coast, has marred our experience. At first, our impression was great: a nice restaurant with solid food, high quality ingredients and matching service, but now is mediocre at best. - Pizza was still good - Rocket & pear salad: small portion of leaves scattered with negligible amount of grated cheese, a few walnut shreds and occasional thin fruit slices, for the audacious price of 20$ - Chicken Parmi 'Classico'  was no better than your local pub. Instead of potato wedges, as stated on the menu, we found extra salty, industrial french fries + a few more rocket leaves. No trace of a proper salad. - Gelato quality was the level of an average supermarket ice cream. The waiting staff did their best, but it seems as if this establishment needs to revise their game plan. Please do, because it is so difficult to find a decent place to eat-out around here!

Hi Danny Thanks for the feedback. This is still a relatively new operation and we definitely have improvement areas and consistency is one of those, given new hires, staff rotation etc. Our exec chef has received the feedback about the rocket and pear, clearly our mistake there. Regarding our chicken parmi and contrary to pubs, we use free range chicken (not frozen), cut and crumbed in house. Topped with mild Italian provolone and slow cooked Venere tomato sauce. Actually since we started, this is the first time we get a bad review about our Parmi, therefore I assume this could be another execution mistake. My apologies. Lastly, our gelato is supplied by Martino Piccolo from Art of Gelato. Not ice cream, not supermarket grade. Glad you liked the pizzas. Cheers

We have eaten there twice now and the food is beautiful. Great service. We have tried the pizzas, calzone, pasta with Ragu sauce. Big serves but they are happy to provide take away containers so you can enjoy your leftovers! Very enjoyable.

The staff tried their best. they were just over whelmed . the Pizza was very Bland. As a chef myself I don't think the makers has tried the pizzas for a while . its easy fixed. he was under the pump. you just can't churn them out . the pasta was good and the chicken schnitzel was good as well. Good luck in trying to get your waiter to come to your table. so sorry to give a bad review but with soo many fantastic restaurants. $167 for 2 pizza and 2 mains . there's better food and service around

Hi Chef, Thanks for your feedback. An extremely busy Fathers Day weekend (thankfully), and we were unfortunately down 2 Chefs and 2 Pizza Chefs across both operations for the week. The BOH team was pretty stretched to say the list. Sharing this from Chef to Chef. In regards to staff not calling on outside tables (yours T10), we will definitely address it with FOH mngr. Thanks for the feedback on Pasta/Parmi. In regards to the pizzas, our recipes remain the same and we actually eat our pizzas weekly :). The perception of "bland" varies from person to person. Margherita is a classic style no frills. The Calabrese pizza, is richer. I was working on the pizza bench that night and despite being under the pump, all pizzas were diligently prepared with same ingredients, method and pace. Cheers

Service wasn't great, we always had to signal to be served. Ordered wine and beers and one soft drink, soft drink was forgotten, served in a can - had to ask for a glass. Food took ages to come. Ordered pizzas which were good. Also ordered a pasta and it was more so a pub style pasta, soaking in cream. Wouldn't recommend ordering pasta - just stick to the pizzas. Caprese salad was not great - tomato's were not even ripe. We reserved a table days in advance and was sat near the toilet and the station where the waiters cleaned cutlery etc.. at. We also had a table of 8 young females next to us, who all they seemed to do was squeal. Would have been lovely to sit on the other side of the restaurant where it seemed more intimate. The staff seemed to lack any sense of wanting to present well. One waitress had worn jeans and stained jumper on, the other had what you would wear to the gym. For the a bill that was over $250 for 4 people, I would have expected better service, better food and a little more ambience with better sound insulation.

Thanks for your feedback Shaye. We will discuss internally how we could better illustrate the seating layout through our booking app. The table you sat is next to the wine cellars and near the toilet corridor entrance. Albeit our three toilets are completely isolated and out of sight from the table. Regarding not attentive service we do apologise. About the pastas, you ordered the Boscaiola, which is a home-made fresh pasta, with panna, pancetta and wood fired cooked mushrooms. Definitely not pub grade, but still a very mainstream pasta. If you wish to try something less mainstream next time, we offer a Rigatoni Alla Norma with stracciatella, Pappardelle al Ragu (wood fired slow cooked) and the Fettuccine Mare Monte, with guanciale, fermented chilli and prawns. Glad you liked the pizzas
