   Our experience at La Roma was wonderful! We loved the “scratch-made” dishes, and great service. The owner, who I spent time talking to, was clear about the importance of freshness, (and buying local), which is difficult to do in Ottawa in the winter. They’ve done a really good job and I highly recommend them!

   We went for the Valentine's day. The menu was amazing. The food was delicious and the waitress was very attentive to us. We had a show to attend at 8pm and let her know we needed to leave for approx 745. The food was to us in a timely manner and we were on our way when we needed to be. I highly recommend eating here if you have not already.

   The food was amazing, and the ambiance and decor were really great except it was FREEZING in the dining room. But overall, very nice. Except for the service... It seemed like our waiter had a ticking time bomb hidden somewhere in his outfit. He was rushed and made us feel uncomfortable by coming to the table every 5 minutes to take our orders. No matter how many times we told him we weren't in a rush, hadn't looked at the menus, didn't know what we wanted yet, wanted to take our time... it didn't matter. He was not reading the room at all! Whenever he brought things to the table, it looked like he was playing "the table is lava", literally throwing the plates and cutlery and bread baskets and etc, as if his life was in danger. It was very, very weird, to say the least, but by the end of service it was straight up annoying. Even his speech was so quick and chopped, we could barely understand what he was saying. Not everyone is made to work in the food service industry...

   This restaurant is so beautiful; the ambiance and food were perfect but what really impressed me was the service. From when we were greeted, served & cashed out, we had an exceptional experience and I will be telling everyone to go eat here ❤️

   Loved this place. Furniture needs to be updated, but you don't eat furniture; BUT, you will live to eat the food. Amazing.

    My friends had pastas and really enjoyed it. I had the veal medallions and it was very disappointing. It was so thin and dry. Staff was super friendly.
