   Wait staff was lovely, food was great but I have 4 stars as it didn’t have any vegetables besides broccolini and not vegetarian friendly. Yes a couple of options but a vegetarian pizza with real veggies would have been welcome for the price!

   Beautiful restaurant with perfect ambiance for a nice quiet dinner out with friends. Location is nice, but parking can be a challenge at holidays, though valet nearby is an option besides all of the street parking around.

   This was a holiday dinner for my family. We attended to play afterwards a Christmas play. dinner was just OK little things in a restaurant of that level and the prices very high, didn’t reflect the overall experience. For instance, we ordered a Caesar salad our waiter never offered to bring cracked pepper our tiramisu was basically a crème brûlée in my main meal was pasta and braised beef. The braised beef was extremely fatty and the pasta portion skimpy , but the overall flavors and sauces were excellent perhaps next time things might be better. I will try them again.

   This was my second time eating here, and both times have been fantastic. The menu is small, but as far as I can tell, there are no bad choices on it! Service has been great each time

   Our server lady was excellent and very attentive and fun. The food was awesome and they were great at adjusting our reserved table to accommodate our 4 extra guests.

   This was our first time dining at La Riv. First impression as we walked in was a great aroma coming from the open kitchen. Good start! Atmosphere was vibrant and very busy at 6:30 PM. We were seated right away and greeted by our server quickly. Our server was exceptional all evening, very attentive and great knowledge of the menu and wine list. She helped us select a great Barolo and it was wonderful. The menu is straight forward and an abundance of selections. We started with the grilled garlic bread, perfect. Next, we split the Wood Grilled Wedge, excellent and the Blue Cheese dressing was perfect. My wife ordered the Branzino - whole fish. Perfectly prepared, fresh and a great choice. I eyed the numerous steak offerings which all looked exceptional, but decided to go with a pasta specialty, Bucatini Al La Riv. Pasta very fresh, abundance of ingredients, but lacked a "wow" factor. Flavors were good, but didn't pop. Next time I am definitely going with the Bistecca Ala Fiorentina, the table next to us ordered it and it looked exceptional! We topped off the evening and shared their tiramisu. Perfect execution, great way to end our meal. We'll certainly be back as we felt the prices were reasonable, service excellent and atmosphere vibrant!

   Food was great. Beef tartare and Cacio e Pepe were standouts. Location is very convenient. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

   We understood…It was a Saturday night during the holiday season and, even though we had a reservation, we were asked to wait five to ten minutes to be seated. Just as we were starting to wonder if they had forgotten about us, the hostess apologized and offered to buy us a glass of champagne “on the house.” We were guided to a private cocktail area with four seats and joined another couple, who were also waiting, and chatted while waiting to be seated; a lovely gesture and one you don’t experience very often! Even though the restaurant was very busy, our waiter, Roland, made us feel as if we were his only guests. Noticing we still had champagne to finish, he held off opening our wine and paced the courses slowly, just as we had asked. What can we say? We love to share the arugula and fig pizza and wood roasted chicken. Maybe next time, we’ll try something new at our favorite Georgetown restaurant!

   Our waiter, Oscar was great. The ravioli was excellent. However, it was way too loud. My husband and I could not hear each other.

    Waiter was very helpful but slow. Several wines on the list were not available and this took quite a long time to find out with each order.
