   This is by far our favorite place to come when visiting Palm Desert. Wonderful in every way- food, service and definitely ambiance.

   Lobster bisque different and not to my liking. Short ribs were excellent. Server was really good.

   One of the reviews talked of place being undiscovered. Our 5:45 reservation found the place, which advertises being able to hold maybe 480, was quite full. Menu good. Had a steak smothered in sauce, carrots which were good, and a cube substitute for potatoes. Server prompt and efficient. Overall I will never go again and won’t recommend. If you like noise and crowds, mediocre steaks but efficient staff (get those orders out) inside and out this is your place. But “undiscovered,” no way.

   Wow… absolute favorite. Such a great vibe and atmosphere. Excellent food and some of the best drinks I have had on this visit. Excellent staff.

   Overall I was disappointed with our experience at La Quinta this time. Started off really well, but once a table of ten people were seated behind our table of two, we were forgotten about! No offer of wine choice for dinner, had to ask for a glass of wine. Starter plates still on the table when our mains arrived. Cutlery not refreshed for our main. And finally, our delicious dates we had as a starter, we had four left and requested to take them home, they never appeared back at the table. I know you get more revenue from a table of ten, but really, expected better from this establishment! Don’t think I’ll be back for a while.

   Food was outstanding. They manage to keep the food hot even for outside seating. Service was a little off. We felt our server was covering too many tables (in and out) . Asked 3 times for bread; 30 minutes to gave order taken. Ambience is unsurpassed.

   When we come to Palm Springs we make a point to come to the Cliffhouse. Christie was an awesome server. This is what this restaurant is all about - the ambiance, food and service is what you expect. We have never been disappointed and are looking forward to our next visit.

    Got the sunset dinner or early bird dinner specials. The rigatoni and the short rib were both excellent! As were the drinks and the burrata cheese appetizer. Our server was especially helpful and a joy to have serving us. We will definitely return.
