   Last night, my husband and I celebrated New Year’s Eve with the special holiday menu at La Quinta Cliffhouse, and it was an unforgettable dining experience. The evening began with a beautifully crafted tartlet of smoked trout and trout eggs—a perfect balance of smoky and savory flavors. The second course featured exceptional crab cakes and velvety veal cannelloni, both expertly prepared and full of rich flavors. For the main course, I enjoyed a perfectly cooked filet mignon accompanied by roasted carrots and creamy mashed potatoes. The flavors were classic yet elevated, with every component complementing the others seamlessly. My husband chose the surf and turf, which included an Australian wagyu steak strip and a cold-water lobster tail, paired with roasted carrots and crispy potatoes. He was absolutely thrilled with the tender steak and the sweet, succulent lobster. To cap off the evening, we indulged in a decadent chocolate tartlet with raspberry mousse. The dessert was a masterpiece—a flawless combination of deep chocolate richness and bright, tangy raspberry. Every dish was stunning, both in presentation and taste. The attention to detail in the menu and the quality of ingredients truly stood out. We can’t wait to return to La Quinta Cliffhouse for another exceptional dining experience.

   That was the worst meal ever presented at a NYE Prix Fixe dinner. Who serves mashed potatoes at a prefix New Year’s Eve dinner? Who serves carrots thrown onto the plate with no garnishment on the plate whatsoever? It was by far so bad that I probably won’t be coming back again. Especially not for the price and the quality. of a New Year’s Eve dinner. You should be ashamed to have made that presentation of food especially with a new chef !

   Great experience dining at the Cliffhouse! I have Celiac disease and the chef was deliberate in making sure that I was safely fed (including making a personalized gluten free starter that was not offered on the pre-fixed menu!) - thank you very much for your kind hospitality, care, and attention to detail.

   Dinner was absolutely delicious! Everything cooked and presented beautifully! The filet was fork tender and a very generous piece, swordfish was grilled perfectly and sea bass was delicious! Crab cake was fresh and everyone enjoyed their very generous salads! Desserts were delicious! Our server was delightful and the whole experience was great!

   Excellent choice for special New Years Eve dinner. We went early to avoid crowds. Service and food was excellent. Very good selection of specialty cocktails and wine. I gave it 4 stars because we did not realize there was fixed price 99 per person menu. However the menu gave lots of choices and food was excellent. We would do it again.

   Absolutely fabulous!! Our first time there and we were thrilled!! From the moment we got there and saw the beautiful lit up restaurant, we knew we had chosen a great place. There’s a beautiful patio that in warmer times, we would love to sit out there. It was cozy with the fire place! Inside we were seated next to the indoor fireplace, which was just lovely with a Christmas tree right beside it.  Andy was fabulous as our server;very attentive and helpful with our selections. We are in Palm Desert visiting from Riverside and will certainly come back! The pork chop and crab pasta were delicious and the spring salad was so fresh and filling!! The calamari…the best!!!

   Enjoy this venue but once the food had been served the service disappears and wait for extras and bill was frustrating.

   Absolutely an amazing experience. This is an absolute must go if you’re visiting Palm Springs top-notch food, top-notch service, top-notch ambience it is a complete package of experience dining.

    My lamb was so tough I had to turn it back in. The replacement Scallops were very good. My wife's chicken was on a bed of squash risotto which had a bad taste.
