   Really disappointed with this meal, having made a long walk after seeing a show on Broadway we were very hungry and excited for a nice Italian dinner. Having been sat down squeezed between two larger tables our table wasn’t even made with my wife missing a napkin. Having placed the food order I pointed this out to the waiter. My main meal arrived and after around 10mins I chased up the other mail course with another waiter alongside the missing napkin. Still nothing I managed to get one from the table next time whilst it was being made for the next guests. Finally a simple pomodora pasta arrived 15 minutes after the pizza and my wife could start her meal. The food was lovely and really let down here by the communication between the servers and the kitchen. No apologies were received for any of the above. The atmosphere was noisy, hectic. Not what I had expected from the trip advisor reviews beforehand.

   It was okay. We had drinks at the Pasta counter before dining at the Pizza restaurant. The whole place could be better managed

   People complain that dining is expensive in NYC. This restaurant is one of the true values around.

   Over the years this was not a good day. Food was not as good as before. Ordered fried calamari with zucchini, had maybe 6 pieces of calamari and the rest was crumbles of fried bits and very thin shoestring zucchini. Ordered plain lasagna and it was tasteless and the bottom layer was thick! I counted three layer bottom too thick for my taste and Well done! I mean, it’s been sitting around for a long time. Disappointed! The only dish that was decent was the bolognese. I also had reservations but for some reason I had to wait 15 minutes because they had to sit someone before me. I didn’t understand and they didn’t bother to explain. The lady at the desk didn’t care either. Almost as if I annoyed her by asking what is the problem with our reservation.

   The service was wonderful. Professional, welcoming, and friendly. Ambience was lively and comfortable. The only thing preventing me from providing 5 stars was the value for serving size. The butternut squash ravioli portion was quite small considering the cost. An additional quarter portion would have been more appropriate. That said, the food quality and flavor was lovely!

   My friends and I love Eataly and go often to the Boston location when in town. At this location, we were so disappointed with our rude server. She clearly was not happy to be at work nor did she want to accommodate us. The food was good as always, but we will not be back to this location.
