Service was very slow even though the restaurant was not busy. Appetizers came out with the entrees. Overall, not bad, but we had better meals in La Fortuna for less $$. The grilled octopus and the fattoush salad were both very good.

Took a shot in the dark going here. I must say, it was amazing. We had the seabass with coconut lemongrass sauce, omg! blew us away, it was fantastic. The cafe’ Rica, similar to an affogato, was the stand out dessert we tried. It’s important to note all sauces and recipes are created in house and from scratch using ingredients close by. Five star dining!

We stopped in for a quick bit to eat for lunch. We had the trio skewers of chicken, beef and shrimp. The flavors were so incredible that we made reservations to return for dinner. Again the food was so well prepared. If ever back this way, Maria Bonita will be our first stop for a meal. Well done!

Food was average and service was slow. The open kitchen was not well ventilated which caused the entire restaurant to smell of charcoal and smoke.

Great service, excellent steak, creative menu. Lebanese cuisine with Central-American influence- works out perfectly. Not to be missed: Marrowbone - if you are a fan of it, one of the best we have tried; Flambé was very good, and preparation show and presentation is impressive.

Pedimos mar y tierra y nada espectacular la carne normal, la langosta malísima como si estuviera congelada por años y la sacaron a cocinar ese día, lo demás súper normal la comida y el precio alto para lo que es.

We were extremely disappointed. We booked this for New Year’s Eve because reviews suggested that the food and environment would be a bit special. Instead I would call it a disastrous mash up of upscale tourist trap and Applebees. I should have known when we had to use QR codes to access the menu and were handed glossy wine and cocktail menus which would have been at home at TGI Fridays if the prices were not so ridiculous. We’re from San Francisco and you get better food for less there! They were out of a lot of things. No patacones - a Costa Rican staple. The waiter saw I was disappointed and stopped making eye contact. And the restaurant told OpenTable that we did not show threatening my status. In photos the swimming pool next to the dining area looks nice but IRL it is odd. Seems just a place to show off throwing money around for nothing. We made the best of it but I wish we had just left when we saw the menu. Lesson learned. I will just saw the live music was excellent but definitely not the restaurant.

We had dinner here for a treat for NY eve as a family of4. It seemed to be a popular place, lots of ex pats and the servers/staff were friendly. There was live music so it was a bit loud but fun for NE eve. However it wasn't up to the hype for a few reasons. There was no air conditioning so it was uncomfortably warm; I wish I knew that beforehand. The steak ordered was medium, not medium rare (a steakhouse should be able to make it to order) and the 2 person steak and shrimp platter was disappointingly small in portion size so not worth the cost- expensive even for a restaurant in North America. We asked for plain water and got bottled water (billed at a$10 US!). Drinks were fine, the kids were fine with their food; the ceviche was great but not alot of chips with it so had to ask for more. Overall not worth the price here

We had a delicious meal. We started with ceviche, the Lebanese platter and the tomato salad. The ceviche and tomatoes were fantastic. The platter was good but nothing exceptional. For the main courses, we orders the chicken skewer which was juicy and super filling, the strip steak (good but fatty), the salmon (good) and the hamburger which was amazing.

The most expensive steak on the menu is 50% inedible fat. Terrible !
