An homage to the San Jacinto Inn, La Lucha offers a unique and indulgent menu complete with the freshest Gulf Coast-only oysters, shrimp, crab, warm biscuits and satisfying fried chicken dinners. Meaning “the Fight,” in reference to the Battle of San Jacinto, La Lucha embraces it’s rebellious side with its beverage selections, surprising guests with a variety of bubbly wines, outstanding craft beers and the essential stellar tequila and mezcal offerings.     Great place for a last minute brunch on Sunday as they had day of openings. Brunch menu was limited but decided on the chicken and waffles and it was a good! Chicken was hot and fresh and pretty good! I give it a 8/10! It was great as leftovers as well! Will be back.

    We used to go to San Jacinto Inn as kids, so my brothers and I celebrated what would have been our parents’ 74th anniversary at La Lucha and you knocked it out of the park! Thanks so much for a memorable evening celebrating family.

    Our Server was one of the best we’ve had in a long time. We came with three of our friends for my wife’s birthday and walked away very satisfied. We had the dumplings, oysters, chowder fries, and deviled eggs to start and finished with the full fried chicken. Not only was the food wonderful but the staff had each item delivered on cue every time. Thanks everyone who worked last night.

    This is our favorite restaurant but for the second time recently it was miserably noisy from a table of women who loitered. This time we sat next to the loudest table of women who were there for hours - not eating or drinking anything. Then proceeded to do their white elephant gift exchange in which they made even more noise. I felt bad for the wait staff who probably also did not receive a tip. La Lucha needs to deal with these clientele.
