   Gorgeous restaurant! Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Ambiance was excellent. Hostess was welcoming. Our server, Ezra, was polite & attentive. Fernando was also wonderful. It’s nice to find a place to enjoy rose champagne by the glass. The onion soup, lobster bisque & filet mignon tasted very good. Desserts could be improved. Basque cheesecake is not really basque style & Paris Brest fell flat. Otherwise, lovely experience.

   What a true and absolute delight! My daughters and I loved La Grande Boucherie! It was one of the highlights of our recent Chicago visit. The food was wonderful, as were the wine selections (and mocktails!) and the beautiful holiday decor. We had oysters, the fromage board, a beautiful salmon, French Onion soup, salads and more. I had a lovely Sancerre, and we topped everything off with profiteroles. But the best part of the experience was the impeccable service. From the moment we left our coats at the front hosted stand to the last moments after dessert and a quick personal tour of the gorgeous second level, we were enchanted. A special thank you to Rachid from Paris for his terrific recommendations, allowing us to practice French and being a bright spot of our entire trip. Attentive, funny, kind! A server can make or break a restaurant experience, and in this case, the service shined bright! We would love to come back when we’re in the city again! Highly enjoyed!

   We were a party of 6 for brunch right at 11 on Sunday. Mando and team were welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent. Our table had oysters, steak and eggs, a croque madame, jambon and gruyère sandwich, french toast with mixed berries, beef bourguignon, and a burger - plus mimosas and mocktails. Two of us had tea service with a shared pot of water, individual tea bags, and individual little pots of honey. Bottomless mimosas for a few of us were lovely too. Best, they brought a slice of cheesecake for our birthday girl and sang happy birthday and feliz cumpleaños, and then later las mañanitas. It was a delightful end to the birthday weekend.

   The service was great. The food was amazing, as well. We had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque was delicious. The only issue was the bread which was a bit doughy on the inside and hard on the crust.

   This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. For atmosphere, I would definitely give it 5 stars. The service was also great. We had the Lyonnaise Salad that was the best I've ever had- not sure where they get their bacon but it is to die for! My children had the Pappardelle Bolognese that was so delicious, we ordered an extra one. We also had the steak that was not bad but I would suggest sticking to the French options and leave the steak for a true Chicago steakhouse. Overall though, very beautiful restaurant and a lovely evening!
