   We reserved a table for 20 to welcome our siblings to town for our daughter’s wedding. They seated us in a private room and made the evening a true delight. Everyone loved their appetizers, entrees and desserts. The service was friendly but unobtrusive. The courses and drinks were delivered in a timely manner. The restaurant is elegantly decorated. Thanks La Belle Helene for a perfect night.

   Absolutely delicious food within a beautiful ambiance with friendly staff. Great for our date night out to see the Philadanco at Knights Theatre.

   We enjoyed the ambiance and beautiful interior. I have lived in France so would rate the food as good but not extraordinary. It was a holiday and the restaurant was busier than expected and short on staff so the service was very slow. I was surprised that we had to request a baguette. The servers were very gracious and professional and did their best under the circumstances.

   This was our second visit to La Belle Helene and overall it was very good, with one exception. We each ordered a cocktail before dinner, and after we both took several sips, we noticed that the drink, which was supposed to be mostly alcohol, tasted like a seriously watered down version of a cocktail. We informed our server and he offered a replacement or something else. We each ordered a glass of red wine that he recommended and it greatly made up for the cocktail. He also removed the bad drinks from our bill. Maybe just a bad night for the bartenders. Now as far as everything else, we were very pleased with our dishes. We started with very nice Shrimp cocktail, and my wife had the Salmon, and I tried the Loup de Mer (sea bass). Both dishes tasted wonderful. We normally do not order dessert, but we were intrigued by the Citron. It also, was quite good. Our server Ruben was very helpful and professional and the ambiance was great. We will be back.

   Even with a reservation, I was put at a high top table by the door and ignored. The hostess took my drink order and then no one returned to take a food order. My order came with dry toast and no butter or jam. The person who ended up waiting on me didn’t ask about if I needed them until I was almost finished with the other food on my plate. The food was fine and everyone was friendly, but my expectations for a restaurant at this price point were higher.
