   The dining room is very attractive, but as in a French bistro, has many hard surfaces from which sound bounces. This made the room very noisy even when it was only about half full. Food was quite good, but the wine list is limited and quite expensive for what you get (bottles that retail for $20 to $25 were on the wine list for $75 to $90). Service was friendly and well-intentioned, but there were some gaffes -- our mains came out several minutes apart, and my bouillabaisse was served without a spoon or seafood fork, both of which are necessary. Overall, we would return, but the service issues could be improved with some additional staff training.

   We had a wonderful experience at La Belle Helene! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional. It was so thoughtful of the team to surprise us with sparkling wine and cake for my husband’s birthday,it truly made the evening feel extra special!

   Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes for our reservation (business dinner- not a great look when entertaining customers), but once seated, there was a cheese plate, shrimp cocktail, and another light bite at our table. One of our guests had to ask for water twice. My dinner came out warm, not hot. It seemed as though our waiter may have been overwhelmed though he was kind. By the time we were eating it was 9:30 and the restaurant had mostly cleared, so I’m not sure what delayed the dinner being brought out and the not hot food.

    Service was ok, waited an extremely long time for our food which caused us to miss scheduled plans that was already paid for. It was my relative’s last night in town and could not do all that we intended because we got to our 7pm reservation at 6:40pm and didn’t get our food until 8pm. Extremely disappointed, then not only did I lose money on after dinner plans I paid full price for a subpar experience.
