KUMOYA, is a Japanese Kitchen and Sushi Restaurant, the passion project of renowned sushi chef Corey Baker in collaboration with Max Mackissock, located in the heart of LoHi. We specialize in traditional sushi and innovative izakaya-style dishes with a modern Japanese twist. Our kappo-style dining concept allows guests to curate their own culinary adventure.     Service was a little slow to start in the dining room, but it picked up once we ordered our food. Food and drinks were great. The dry aged toro is MONEY. Bar staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning soon!

    Excellent service and food! The Sando was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had, bread was buttery and delightful. The kumo soft shell crab roll was by far the best soft shelled crab I have ever eaten. 10/10 will be returning.

    All of the food was perfect and the staff took the time to explain everything and ‘tell the story,’ which was a great addition for our first visit. The pickled wasabi is incredible, a must try. Wes, the GM, was as friendly, hospitable, and professional as any restaurant GM I’ve experienced in Denver.

    Mmm delicious! The employees impressed me with their knowledge. Solid vibes. Get the orange hamachi from the catch of the day!! Cute touch with the birthday treat ◡̈ I recommend!

    Very good Japanese food with a little Filipino essence. The desserts were just ok, e had two of them, but they didn’t blow me away. We will be going back

    Came here for date night and sat in the round tables by the windows. Great and attentive service, not too loud and easy to have a conversation. Plates were spaced out well and everything was delicious
