   I made a reservation through the website for 9:45 pm, but I waited almost an hour to be seated because they overbooked reservations—it was Valentine’s Day. I was finally seated at 10:30 pm, ordered my food at 10:35 pm, and received it at 11:30 pm. Despite the long wait, they didn’t offer anything to make up for it. Food was good but not excellent, the chicken fried rice was not good. I feel bad for the servers and kitchen staff, as it shows that the management doesn't care about either the customers or the workers.

   1 and a half hours sitted waiting for food beside the 1 hour waiting for our reservation to be respected, te appetizer that we where abble to eat where good, the server was amazing and very nice to us but we couldn't wait any more and had to leave

   This was my fourth time coming to Kona grill. I left a review last year about my Valentines experience, and made another reservation this year giving them the benefit of the doubt. My reservation was at 7:30, and when I arrived I was told it would be a wait. We were not seated until 8:15. I don’t understand the point of making a reservation, if you still have to wait 45 minutes to be seated. They were also reservation only for Valentine’s day. If you’re reservation only why is it still a 45 minute wait? After waiting 45 minutes for our table, we didn’t receive our food until 9:15, when we arrived to the restaurant at 7:30. We were told that our order, along with 2 other tables got lost and somehow mixed up. Every time I have been to Kona Grill the servers were great. In this case, Rex was very attentive and apologetic for everything going on, even though it was out of his control. Unfortunately I don’t think I could come back again. If only the rest of the restaurant and its service could line up with the greatness of the servers.

   We had to wait 30 minutes even though we had a reservation. The food took about an hour to get to us and then it was mediocre. My husband got the surf and turf and it was the smallest tiniest little steak we had ever seen. Maybe 2 inches by 1 inch and the lobster was also tiny. I got the sea bass and it was pretty good but not filling so we decided to get dessert since we were both still hungry. My husband got a chocolate lava cake and he said it was decent but I got the cheesecake and it was bad. It tasted like it was bought it in bulk from Walmart and it had been sitting in the fridge for weeks. It had that stale taste from absorbing other flavors in the fridge. It was so bad. I couldn’t believe it coming from a place like this. This place was a bit pricey and it was definitely not worth it. I don’t think we will ever go back.

   We made a reservation for 7 and wasn’t seated till about 7:45pm. Several people came in with reservations after ours and were seated before us, it was clear they had forgotten on the list and no accommodations were made.

   Had an overall great evening at Kona Grill in Riverton. It was Valentine's evening and they were packed! Upon arrival they let us know we'd be about 15 minutes off our reservation time...which was fine. It ended up being about 30 minutes, which was also fine and here's why: You could tell the staff were ON IT! It's one thing to be delayed and see stuff mulling about or disengaged but the restaurant staff—including the hosts, manager (or who we assumed to be the manager), bar tenders...everyone—was fully engaged and clearly doing all they could to keep diners happy and the waitlist moving. After we were seated, we had exceptional service. Great vibes in the dining area, the meal was killer (I opted for sushi while my wife got the penne pasta), and the drink selection was fun and tasty. Even with the minor annoyance of a significant wait on top of a reservation, we'd be back in heartbeat. And one last shoutout to the staff for really demonstrating a commitment to offering a fine dining experience, even when it appeared like an uphill battle.

   The sushi was good, but the other food was not good at all. The Asian salad was completely out of a bag with 6 shrimp . Ridiculous for the price. The fish was a very small with 3 pieces of bok choy. Maybe we should have chosen something different off the menu.

    It was very loud, the food was not that great. My steak was over cooked and still cold, mash potatoes were cold. The quality of the food was not worth what we paid. It feels almost criminal to charge those prices. My wife and I went for Valentine’s Day. We made reservations but still had to wait 15 minutes for a table.
