This Resturant has only been open for one month at this writing .. since this is an annual trip , we can only hope this establishment maintains its high quality food and service .. We had eaten at another new Sushi Resturant to the island shortly after arriving and thought it was fabulous … but after eating at Kojima Izakaya, we were even more impressed . Can’t say enough about Kojima and the wonderful staff there .. from the moment you are greeted at the door until you leave .. Our waiter was Simone’… he was the very best at his job and made wonderful recommendations . And save room for desert .. they have a pistachio gelato that is as authentic as you would get in Italy…

The atmosphere is lovely and we had a stunning sunset view. We had the Hamachi.Usuzukuri , pork tonkatsu, Tsukuba roll Everything was lovely. The miso scallops were just OK. They were nice but a little boring. The disappointment was when the waiter offered to surprise me with a special drink . I thought it was a lovely gesture and assumed it would be on the house. When I got the bill, I realized he charged me for it, which I thought was very cheeky. As soon as we were finished ordering, we were rushed to leave and we hadn’t even finished our coffee and after dinner drinks I found this quite rude after a lovely evening this spoiled it. Overall, the food was very good, but it is overpriced.
