The service, food and ambiance of Kitchen in the Desert was incredible. The drinks were interesting, the Jerk Chicken was the most authentic I’ve since I was last at The Old Donkey Cart in the hills just above Scarborough, Tobago. We had a number of vegetarians and one vegan in our party and they were blown away by the variety and quality of the dishes. We ordered seven small plates plus a side of delicious plantains, plus dessert, and left completely sated. Best restaurant experience we had here on our seven day family holiday. Highly recommend to anyone who wants more than the typical bar and barbecue food found in this area.

Came with 3 friends and ordered the jerk chicken and lamb pops. The ambiance was amazing definitely one of the more aesthetically pleasing restaurants in the area. With mostly outdoor seating the blankets and heat lamps help fight off the cold. I’d like to see it during the warmer seasons as well. Now the food itself was very filling. The jerk chicken I would definitely recommend to anyone the lamb pops a little too salted for my taste however my friends very much enjoyed themselves. Overall I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

Food was delicious. Just a hiccup when our steak was forgotten for a while until a bussboy came to clear our table and asked what else was missing. The vibe was pretty chill and loved that we were able to bring our 2 fur babies with us to dinner. If you’re new to the area, I’d say reserve a table for your experience☺️

Overall really good and the food was really good, but they didn’t have a lot of gluten-free options and they didn’t have a candle there, but the vibes were really nice.

We drove about one hour to meet family at this kitschy/funky restaurant, which had been recommended. We ordered off the brunch menu, which had a variety of interesting items. I ordered a Bloody Mary, but they were out of Bloody Mary mix. My husband ordered plantain pancakes, but they were out of pancake mix. French fries had been crossed off the menu, since they were out of them, too; nothing was suggested as a side to accompany sandwiches. Our final order for the four of us consisted of two margaritas, three chicken sandwiches and one smash burger. On a positive note, we all enjoyed our sandwiches. Restaurants can run low on supplies, but I would think they would’ve stocked up for a Saturday brunch; the restaurant wasn’t that crowded.

We’ve been meaning to go to this place since we moved out to the desert several years ago and I’m so glad we finally did! Yummy food and a fun vibe as most of the tables are outside upscale picnic style. Our server was sweet — thanks Bree - and we ate more than we intended to because it was so good!

Came here in early December and it was very easy to get a table! We sat outside even though it was getting chilly, their outdoor area is so cute and with the heaters it didn’t feel cold. The food is great—we got the smash burger, Brussel sprouts, and plantains, and would highly recommend all three.
