   I’d rate this restaurant a 4.5/10. The service was great, and the ambience was okay, but the food didn’t justify the high prices. The lamb chops were overly spicy, the deviled eggs tasted old, and the fried chicken seemed reheated. While the crab cakes were great and the collard greens were good, the mac and cheese didn’t look fully cooked, so I skipped it. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, but I likely won’t return. Overall, it felt overpriced for the quality of the food.

   From the moment we walked in we were met with smiles from the staff. The DJ was playing all my favorite songs, right down to set it off for Sorors to stroll. We had lobster and salmon bites to die for. The Mac N Cheese was creamy but not soupy. My father had to be stopped he was eating the Mississippi catfish Cesar Salad so fast. My husband was pleasantly surprised by the ribeye and bought the grits for tomorrow morning! We gave our server an extra $20 tip so she doesn’t loose money with the mandatory 20% gratuity. I can’t wait to come back Wednesday for pink & green waffles.

   I was expecting a little different vibe. It was extremely cold in the building. They could really work on the lighting in there. Although our service was really good. Food wise when serving cornbread you expect it to be warm. It’s kind of har to provide authentic Afro Mac n cheese in a public setting. I would take this off the menu if you can figure a method to make true baked Mac n cheese. I had the vegan bowl which was pretty good. I assist hey were attempting to braise the collards. They could have cooked a little longer. We were also caught off guard with the added 20 percent gratuity for 2 people. I’m pretty sure they will rectify the situation. Atlanta is a city that will let you know if your food and service are substandard.

   The whole experience was amazing from the time we walked into the for front the greeter to the hostess. Shout out to Takara our waitress who was phenomenal! We will definitely have them in rotation as our weekly date nights.

    We visited on Sunday, January 5, as a party of five, and unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to our expectations the rose wall picture was the highlight. While our server initially greeted us with a warm smile, it quickly faded as we made requests, and we could tell she became increasingly annoyed. One major downside was how they charge for almost everything. For instance, my Chicken Fried Chicken, which was supposed to be smothered in gravy, arrived with barely any gravy. After asking for more, I was shocked to find a $5 charge for the extra gravy when the bill came. I made sure to have the manager remove that charge. ( waittress never said their would be a charge). Another friend ordered collard greens as a side to her breakfast, but when it arrived, she was surprised to find rice on the plate. Later, she realized she was charged $24 for a collard greens meal when all she wanted was a side of greens. The menu is overwhelming, with so many options scattered in different sections that it’s difficult to know what you’re actually ordering. The waitress didn’t clarify any of the hidden charges, which added to the confusion. For example, I ordered a $15 blackberry margarita, but was charged $21. I didn't realize that it was a non-alcoholic version. Our food was fine, though nothing remarkable. We waited a long time for it, and when it finally arrived, we weren’t overly impressed. The complimentary cornbread was a nice touch for the wait, but 2 pieces for 5 ladies, the jerk chicken soup was a miss—it tasted like canned soup with jerk seasoning added. Another thing that bothered us was the lack of a detailed bill. The waitress have us swiped our card with no itemized breakdown. We only saw the detailed charges when we received the receipt via email or text. Transparency and clarity need improvement. There are too many great dining options in Atlanta and the surrounding areas for us to consider returning anytime soon.
