   An excellent meal only because of a mistake I made in making a reservation. Went with a party of four. Had the pork belly the catfish, the duck breast and the goulash. All were excellent meals

   Accoglienza fredda, come ovunque in Ungheria d'altronde. Cibo, vino e servizio buoni, i piatti erano curati e bilanciati nel sapore. I prezzi per noi sono un po eccessivi.. pensando che abbiamo mangiato su un tavolo dove non c'era una striscia di tovaglia, il tovagliolo di carta misurava pochi centimetri e ogni piccola fettina di pane ha un costo a parte.

   The food was good, the waitress was nice with us, but on the bill we had a portion of bread misscharged, we told her and she gave us the money back for it. Overall a nice experience.

   It was difficult to find a same-day reservation at any restaurant in Budapest so w were happy when we found a spot at Kismező. With all our searching we were just glad to finally have some place to eat but what a surprise and a delight to eat here! We were warmly welcomed upon entry and the staff were all friendly and professional. The ambiance is nice and casually cool - stylish with an open kitchen. Food was served relatively quickly and it was all delicious. We had the pumpkin soup, goulash, salad with grilled ricotta and the chicken stew which was like pulled chicken inside a dumpling, along with desserts. We absolutely recommend Kismező and wish we were staying in Budapest longer so we would have a chance to return.
