James Beard semi-finalist for Best Chef Texas and Top Chef Season 19 judge Kiran Verma, considered the ‘godmother of Indian fine dining,’ has created world-class north Indian cuisine at her eponymous restaurant. Come and enjoy good food and great service in a fabulous environment.

Signature dishes include rack of lamb with aloo methi, Chilean sea bass with mango chutney, chicken tikka masala and a vegetarian thali. Specialty cocktails range from the Jahangir Lassi (house-infused pineapple rum, passion fruit, mango lassi, pistachio) to a Chai Old Fashioned to a Cardamom Basil Gin & Tonic.

The restaurant serves Afternoon Tea every Friday, Saturday and Sunday - a four-course Indian and English tea experience. Chef Kiran has created her own chai blend.

From the OpenTable editors: At her namesake restaurant, 2023 James Beard semifinalist Kiran Verma serves up inventive dishes that pair traditional Indian flavors and techniques with local ingredients. The results are wholly unique: tandoori Texas quail with fig chutney or goat cheese and beet salad with masala cashews, for example. Weekends are an especially fun time to dine, when afternoon tea service stars the restaurant's signature chai blend.

Food was excellent with all kinds of extravagant flavors. However, I will say that the service needs great improvements. Server was not welcoming or inviting, after awhile he opened up. I would love to come back and have them explain the culture of their dishes.

When the price was already collected for the evening special which was 145 per person so over all 320 something, what was the reason for 20% gratuity added in the over all bill for a table of 2? It was a rip off. And half the time the servers kept on saying the food got ran out and will give me something else, it was like I went on valentine with the servers. Literally the value for money and the food offered had no match, Total waste. From no angle it was fine dine, it was like a normal restaurant I got the feeling. The lobster was over cooked and rubbery, they made us wait for nearly an hr when we had our time prebooked near the bar, and even that was not complimentary, I would have had better experience at musafir, this place was fine some 10 years ago but not now.

They called me a few days before and moved the reservation 30 minutes later. Whenever we arrived, we had to wait an extra 50 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. The food was tasty and our waitress was very kind! I’d blame it on being Valentine’s Day. However, the menu was fixed and they even ran out of the first course. Paying $200 per person, I feel like this should not have been the experience. I would consider giving them another chance in the future and hopefully it will go a little more smoothly.

We enjoyed our Valentine's Dinner at Kiran's very much. The service was great, the staff was accommodating, and the ambiance was what we wanted.

Service was poor and rushed you to order. They cleared plates and brought the next course before we were done with the current course. The waiter told us we had one minute to decide on our meal and drink orders. The lobster was very good, but the rest of the food was mediocre and poorly plated.
