Food was very tasty, we ordered queso fundido, molcajete, children’s chicken strips, carne asada tacos, classic wet burrito. Our server was polite and kind, just very slow, drinks took 15 minutes to get to us, and it wasn’t busy, just understaffed maybe. Everyone enjoyed their food, and all the staff very polite, just the service was extremely slow

The food and drinks were great! The service was not so great unfortunately. It seemed they had 1 server for the whole place, which it wasn’t too busy but they could’ve supported him better. He didn’t bring our waters until mid meal, he forgot to put an order in, put another 2 orders in wrong. Brought my water right before we left after I asked for the 5th time. I get the ambiance of the place and the loud music, but could benefit the servers for it to be a littler quieter so the server can do their jobs. I can image getting an order down is hard while we’re both yelling over pound music. We’ll definitely be back, but it was an OK experience over all. The quality of the food and drink balanced out the service a little.

This is for the Old Town Temecula location. Seemed more like a fast food restaurant. The ambiance was as if you were sitting in a farmer boys. You do not get chips and salsa unless you ask for it. Our server was staring up to the ceiling while we were ordering. It was very strange. Food took forever and drinks/water was not refilled. So disappointed. The riverside location is so much better. Like a full experience with music and excitement. Atmosphere is way better at the Riverside location.

The bartender was rude, and the bathroom trash was overflowing. Bellflower and Moreno Valley location much better!

Came to Kalaveras for a late dinner and drinks and was able to make a reso for 9:45pm to sit in the restaurant. They even had time slots open until 10:45pm. Once my party and I arrived, I attempted to check in and was told that they were no longer serving food because the kitchen closed at 10pm. No where on the website or Open Table did it state the time the kitchen closed. It also still allowed me to make resos to have dinner. This was a bad experience and that issue needs to be fixed with open table and the restaurant so that no one else has this problem in the future.

I visited Kalaveras about 10 months ago when it was pretty new to Old Town Temecula and the food & service were phenomenal so I had given it 5 stars. My family is in town visiting for my step-sisters 21st birthday so I figured this would be a great spot because it was so much fun the first time I had visited--let me just start by saying how completely embarrassed I am that I brought my family here to celebrate such a big occasion. This place has gone down hill BIG TIME. I had made a reservation in advance for a party of 8 people (all my family members) and made note that we were celebrating my sister's 21st birthday. No one from the hostess to our server acknowledged that it was her birthday--not even when I told them "we're here celebrating her 21st" did they say "Oh, happy birthday!"--they said nothing. To make matters worse, they carded my sister and then acted skeptical that she was actually 21 because her ID is from Illinois--when they brought us all out our drinks, all of our drinks had alcohol EXCEPT HERS!!! It tasted like juice! We complained immediately and had it sent back to make another. Although we were happy with the quality and taste of the food, we all got our meals at separate times; A couple people would get their meals, then we'd have a long delay before another two people got their meals, then another long delay---it was ridiculous because one VERY old man was the only person running food and he was VERY slowly bringing out only two plates at a time! Not our server or anyone else bothered to help bring out food. It was ridiculous. After the old gentleman finally served us our meals, our server NEVER came back to check on us. We were completely out of drinks (never got a single refill of anything or asked if we wanted to order more drinks); our chips were empty yet there was still a full bowl of $14 guacamole on the table wasting away (mind you, he never brought us the salsa we requested either from the start); and everyone's mouths were complet

I ordered the Quesa Birria. There were 3. Delicious! I brought one home. My wife ordered the Kala burrito. Delicious! She brought 1/2 home. Will definitely go again!
