We were made to feel very unwelcome by the staff who took a dislike to us as soon as we arrived.

Very terrible service culture among the managers, as they treat people very poorly. We booked our table at the bar area for drinks, as we went up the lift, but knew already there were availabilities as shown on Open Table. When we got upstairs the restaurant receptionist didn’t find our names in the system yet and told us they were full and sat us at the bar, even though we know there were spaces from the app. He eventually let us in after our we enquired again, and our name popped up on his system. We were seated on a high table that was rather wobbly and not as relaxed, so we asked from the onset to the bar manager to move us to a lower table when one becomes available. We watched, over 2+ hours, 5 low tables leave and be empty while they wait for new people to arrive. Each time we asked to be moved to one of those tables, and each time the manager lied about why she can’t in a way that was so apparent. It was very inconsiderate and disrespectful, as if she doesn’t really care whether you leave or stay. We used to come here every other week last year. With the new management style they have now, I think we will stop returning.

I will start from the good points, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was overpriced and misleading. The octopus salad was ok tasty and decent portion but still 19 pounds for few pieces of octopus is a lot. Now to the mains, where I felt really ripped off, I had what was described as “Salted cod, potatoes, parsley, egg, black olives” mind that was 28 pounds and was in reality a nicely presented fried potato with 4 flakes of cod and a yolk of an egg on top. These must have been the most expensive nicely presented shredded potatoes with the cod nowhere to be found and a tiny smear or olives. To top it off while the restaurant is positioned as high end you had people coming from the spa with their bathrobes in the bar. Really if you want some nice pictures for instagram is the place for you sorry just pretentious and overpriced.

We had a lovely lunch at Joia! The servers took very well care of us, and were always kind and joyful which made the experience all the better. We chose the Octopus salad as an entrée; the Bacalhau à Brás for our mains, and finally both the Chocolate orange mousse and Spiced pineapple for dessert. Everything was delightful and tasty. As a Portuguese person living in London, it was great to see some of our very traditional dishes levelled up, though they all remained very soulful and delicious as per Portuguese cuisine. Though it was gloomy outside, the view was incredible. The rooftop was unfortunately closed, and we were told it'll be open from April for the summer months, so another reason to come back. Muito obrigado for the experience, we will definitely be back!

Bar tapas really low quality and came out before our drinks ! Tortilla was so so runny and sent back , sharing charcuterie board and broken crackers , and the pickles were silver skin onions and carrots… poor show for £22 pounds . Service slow and overall stayed for half hour , nice view but could do better - wouldn’t return
