   Excellent food. Very expensive prices but you get what you pay for. Probably the best steak I’ve ever had. And the lobster mashed potatoes. 💋.

   My husband and I love coming here to celebrate our anniversary, the steak was cooked perfectly, we love trying the different salts to pair with the steak.

   Service was amazing. Staff was always in top of our needs and made the dinner special for me and my daughters. A perfect dinner and evening.

   We spent $700 and had to wave down different waiters and ask multiple times for a waiter each section of the meal. We couldn’t even get our waiter since he never came back to check in. Long wait for sides as well. I had to send back a basic cocktail to be redone. To top it all off they tack on a 20% tip!!!! Ridiculous for horrible service on a $700 meal. Will never go again to this restaurant!!!!

   Host was not friendly, wish they train them how to smile. Server was great, she was attentive and polite yet friendly. This place has great ambient but it felt bit loud today. On the other hand, food was subpar. Sides were good but the meat was cold. we ordered larger cut of beef, may be dining room was too cold while server was cutting the beef table-side, it got really cold and nothing is worse than eating cold cut of steak plus it took him a while to cut all three cuts and deliver it to a single plate. I am not sure if it was worth the price for a cold cut of steak

   We received 2 gift cards for the restaurant, that's why we went there to celebrate our anniversary and give it a try. The atmosphere was nice and plenty of parking since it's located inside the mall, and restaurant would validate the parking for up to 6 hours.The server was okay, and I guess because we didn't offer expensive stuffs, the server later didn't really pay attention for our table. We decided not to tip extra plus 20% gratuity is already included in the bill. The food was bad. The crab cake was very salty. Don't order the fried bacon, it tasted gross. The truffle fries is not bad, and the honey crisp apply salad was the only food that taste pretty good. I ordered a medium rare steak, it came out more like medium well and it was very dry. My family used to own a steak house so I know clearly what a medium rare steak looks like. Do I have to order an expensive steak in order for me to get it cook the right way? Anyway, I would not go there anymore. It doesn't worth for the price.

   It was always a beautiful experience, with excellent service and great ambiance at John Howie. Special occasions or a for a date night; we love it here!! If you want to go from good to outstanding, please add different salad options and sourdough bread to your bread basket for gluten-intolerant people. Please have an attendant check on the bathrooms. The Ladies' restrooms last night were not clean.

    Been dining here for many years. It had been over a year since my last visit. Previously food and service has always been top notch. During this visit, the service was terrible in comparison to all my previous visits. Incredibly long wait to get our order taken along with any other times we needed our server. We were seated for over 30 minutes before our server came back to take our order. The server also never came back around to check on drinks, how our food was etc. At the end of the meal we sat around for over 25 minutes after finishing eating trying to find our server to get leftovers boxed. Once she finally came back it took another 20 minutes to get our food boxed. She then brought a dessert menu. We didn’t decide to order dessert and attempted to flag down our server for over 20 minutes to get our bill. Felt like we were being held hostage when we just wanted to pay and leave. I’m not sure if the change in how they pay the servers has changed the service level or what has happened. The food and service at this restaurant on all my previous visits, has always been amazing. The servers had always been very attentive even to the point that they would recognize if your drink was getting low and come back to offer another. This visit was very disappointing to say the least. I’m hoping this is a one off and not the normal service level now due to the change in how they pay the staff. The food was still amazing as it always has been. The only small thing during this visit was the steak was more on the rare side than the medium rare we ordered. Not a huge issue. The food quality overall was great!!
