    We took friends here for dinner before a show at Lincoln Center. We had been here in the Fall and liked it, so we were eager to return. It did not disappoint. The food was as good as we remembered and our friend were delighted with the restaurant. It is one of the more reasonably priced restaurants near Lincoln Center, we will definitely return.

    The staff are warm and congenial. We had a pre-theatre dinner and the food was very filling and served promptly. The cocktail the Lady in Red was just okay. The shrimp parmigiana was excellent and I was impressed at the size of the shrimp. The eggplant parmigiana was also delicious. Portion sizes were generous and we had no room for dessert. They have live music on Saturdays and the band played light jazz. Very good date atmosphere with a wide variety of options. The service could have been a tad bit more attentive but was good overall.

    I was really excited to go here for my bday on 3/28 but the food was not hitting—especially being “family recipes.” We had to send back two dishes and the pasta was undercooked for my carbonara which I thought was a safe dish to order. The pancetta in it was too fatty and largely cut but the sauce was good. We did enjoy the ambiance and Friday night singer, she made our night and unforgettable experience. 3 stars because food is a huge part of the dining experience.
