   Overall the food was good. However I had the chicken sandwich: it was more bun than chicken... Proportions all off.

   JJ’s has gone down hill. The shrimp appetizer had 4 very small bacon wrapped shrimp that were overcooked. Crab cakes were mostly breading. Seafood bake was $50 for a saucer size plate of 2 small scallops, very small shrimp, more crab filling that was breading and a langostino. Small petite filet was 5 bites. The ahi tuna poke appetizer had very little tuna. Very disappointed.

   Michelle, I am sorry that you were not happy with the portions. We use the same size shrimp for every purpose in the restaurant, and it's the same size we've used for 40 years in our Paco's shrimp app. It is still one of the city's favorites after all these years. The crab cake recipe we've used for about a decade has lots of blue crab meat. We use large diver scallops and 6 oz lobster tails. Our petite filet is 7oz, just as stated on the menu. The poke is high quality and very fresh ahi tuna. There are many places with larger portions, and if that's what you're looking for, we might not be your best option. We offer higher quality than places that prioritize large portions. You'll have plenty, and most folks don't finish their dinner, but you probably won't leave with another meal.

   My family of five really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was delicious. All our plates were clean. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere feels special. It’s definitely a place I would recommend down on The Plaza.

   Meatballs were served cold to the touch and I hate sending food back as you never k ow what happe so, I'll leave it there for those. Crabcakes shouldn't have panko as a crust but the onion soup was very good.

   Poor service, very disappointing. Other than mashed potatoes that were lumpy, food was good, but service was a big distraction. Waiter had to be reminded that one person ordered the bread service, then brought one small basket that was never refilled or replaced. He asked only 3 of 4 diners if they wanted a 2d drink despite the 4th person's glass being empty. When that diner asked for a 2d drink, he said he would get it but never did. The diner pointed out the omission when entree plates were cleared, and he wanted to fetch it with dessert. He was then visibly annoyed that no one ordered dessert. Very poor service for a meal costing over $100 per person!

   We’ve eaten at JJs many times over the past 35 years. Tonight it was the noisiest it’s ever been. Also, they’ve raised their prices and no longer allow you to pick from all their side dishes for your side with your main entree. It’s still the best steak in KC.

   Meghan (with an H) was absolutely amazing, and so was Kennedy. Great food and experience. Our filets were some of the best we've ever had. Only one suggestion, work on the expresso martini, please.
