Designed by the famous chef Roberto Solis and his partner chef Manuel Balan, Jayu is an exclusive Japanese food restaurant with Yucatecan touches, hence the name JA for Japan, YU for Yucatan.
The concept is a 10-seat bar in which interaction is created between the chefs and the diner.
We have 3 menus.
-Nigiris menu.
-Short omakase.
-Long omakase.
We do not share any menu as it changes constantly, as we depend on daily supplies for its preparation, which consists of fish, seafood, meat and poultry.

El menú de 9 tiempos acompañado de sake fue una experiencia espectacular. Totalmente recomendado si quieres una nueva experiencia culinaria. Un poco escondido, pero eso lo hace un lugar más íntimo.

La manera de combinar la esencia japonesa con la yucateca están logrados de una manera impresionante. Una de las mejores experiencias gastronómicas en Yucatán. El concepto es inovador. No te lo debes perder si visitas Mérida.

El concepto de speakeasy le da un toque interesante, el servicio es excelente y la calidad de los ingredientes se mantiene. Los ingredientes varían según la temporada, lo que te invita a regresar. Es mi lugar favorito de comida asiática. Super recomendado!!!

An amazing omakase experience. As soon as we walked in the door, it was like a portal to Japan- the decor, the seating, the service- all like a second floor sushi bar in Tokyo that takes you 30 minutes to find. It is as if the chef has spent years with a sushi master. A unique blend of Yucatecan and Japanese flavors that looked and tasted amazing!
