   Love this restaurant in Tyler! Food is good, drinks are amazing, service is truly excellent. Thank you Baylon for great service! The decor and ambiance is so nice. The outside patio area is wonderful on a nice day. It overlooks a koi pond where you can feed the fish. Definitely give this place a try when in the area. Make a reservation if going for dinner.

   Date night with my wife and we had a good time. The food was good and our server did good. Ambience was a little too loud for us but other than that we had a good time.

   On Tuesday of last week, I "reserved" a table at Javi's for a date night for 7:30pm on Friday, 10/18/24 on Open Table. I received a text message stating my table was reserved, with the date and time. Upon arrival at the restaurant, my husband and I were informed the restaurant does not take reservations from Open Table and reservations to their restaurant must be made at least 3 days in advance. I informed staff the restaurant is on Open Table with the option to reserve and staff simply dismissed this as if it wasn't the first time this had happened. We added our names to a list for a table in the main dining room as walk-ins. Fortunately, our wait was short, and we got a table within 10 minutes. If an establishment does not allow or intend to honor reservations on Open Table, it should take issue with the fact that diners are being misled by this and should take the necessary steps to correct this.

   All in all it was a very good experience. Had a little trouble with a couple of dishes. but manager made a small adjustment in ticket to compensate. Service was great.

   If you visit Tyler, Texas, do yourself a favor and eat at Javi’s. We had top notch service all the way around. Great food, friendly service and sitting on the patio overlooking the water was so relaxing and fun. Ask Steve and Travis.

   Javis never disappoints. I took my friend there for her birthday and she said it was the “best birthday dinner ever!”

   Even though I made reservations ahead of time we still had to wait over 30 minutes for a table which I feel is unacceptable. What is the purpose for reservations if you are still made to wait? This is the second time I have experienced this. I go to Javi’s for the atmosphere and ambience however, I don’t think I will be back with a large party because this is absolutely inconvenient and inconsiderate.

    First time visit to Javis restaurant. We dined outdoors with the view of the water and fountain. Our server was prompt and attentive to our table (Barrett). We started out with delicious appetizers of beef brisket soft tacos. The mango salsa was amazing. We ordered guacamole and a chicken quesadilla. The entrees were great as well but we were so full most went home. Somehow we all shared one dessert of Churros. They’re served with Carmel in the middle and fresh fruit on top. We all enjoyed them. We will be back and hopefully have our same server again.
