   I love this place. even though two in my party canceled at the last minute, I went by myself because they cook filet mignon exactly how you want it. The soup, salad (and ginger dressing), hibachi fried rice (with chicken), vegetables, were delicious. Besides steak, our chef also cooked shrimp and lobster. Next time I might ask him to go easy on the salt.

   Delicious 😋, doesn't need more explanation, it is just soooo good. This is by far my favorite place to celebrate anything. This time was my 2 yr woek Aniversary.

   First time here with my wife and first time having the hibachi experience. The Plantation location of Japan Inn was easily accessible with lots of parking depending on when you visit. We had a reservation for Friday around 7 pm and parking was reasonable. We had no problem finding a spot. Quick seating when we were inside. Didn’t even have to wait. The hibachi seating is in the rear of the restaurant with good cause because believe me when I say this was the absolute BEST experience my wife and I had at a restaurant. Starting with our hostess she wasn’t overbearing in fact she gave us all the time in the world with suggestions on our meal choices. Then came our very entertaining chef who was fire, literally, our meals were on fire while cooking it right in front of our eyes. We had another family at the hibachi table with kids, celebrating a birthday and it was awesome. They’ll sing, play musical instruments like a drum to celebrate your special occasion. With the clicking of the cooking tools, the fire blazing between the cooking, our chef had me and my wife in such a happy frame of mind all night. You can also feel the happy hibachi fever from nearby hibachi tables with other guests. Finally, the food was done.Everyone at our table was served and the food was oooh oooh delicious. They have a variety of alcoholic beverages as well as fruit juices complementing the meal. If you’re looking for a super quiet restaurant Japan Inn could be a place for you with seating closer to the front but if you’re looking for fun and being included in the cooking of your meal then the hibachi experience is the way to go. We couldn’t finish our yummy meal because it was in great proportions. We were more than happy to goodie bag it and take it home. We didn’t feel rushed, enjoyed the entire experience, loved our entertaining chef, loved loved our hostess. All in all……YOU HAVE TO PUT HIBACHI ON YOUR BUCKET LIST of things to try. Japan Inn Plantation 2 THUMBS UP!

   We were sat 45 mins after our reservation. The waitress never came back to check for refills either. Chef was not super interactive either.

   The service was good, but our chef really didn’t perform much. That’s kind of the point of going to a hibachi place. My guest I had with me had never been before, so I was sort of hoping they have a good chef that did a lot of knife work. Then he also overcooked my steak and scallops which left on the grill for probably 20 minutes. It wasn’t terrible, just mediocre.
