   Club sandwich was very dry. Asked for hot sauce. They said no. I asked for any sauce. He said only mild sauce. I asked for that, he said no. Like you can’t even bring more mayonnaise or something? My friend wanted a different sandwich when we originally ordered but wanted to add chicken and he said “no we don’t alter items”. You’re in the service industry. That’s how you up-charge and make more money. I’ve been to 5 star restaurants and they always make accommodations. We were asked about any food allergies in the beginning but if you can’t alter food why ask that? Wouldn’t go back.

   Jaleo never disappoints. The depth of flavors in every dish is amazing. My husband and I are small bite eaters. We enjoy the serving size so we can try a few dishes and also have a light lunch. They also make a lovely cappuccino. We live in Loudoun County and came to DC to see an exhibit at NGA. PLEASE open a restaurant in Loudoun so we can enjoy the cuisine more often!

   We ordered the seafood paella for 3 of us and complimented that with several small plates. Great decision. Lots of variety and tried new things.

   Julian was a wonderful server. The food was great. We ordered a “pitcher of sangria” and expected red wine- no they brought champagne and it was the most expensive on the menu $72!!! Not worth it at all. It wasn’t even muddled fruit. It was champagne over ice and fresh orange slices. That was a huge disappointment. BUT- the bacalao was scrumptious and the rest was quite tasty.

   Service was impeccable. The service staff was attentive, professional, and an overall pleasure. The food was delicious, and the drinks were fantastic. With that being said, I didn't think the food was worth the price. The service is why I'll give it a high rating.

   It’s a tapas menu with many great options that are different. The wait staff should do a better job of explaining the menu and making suggestions.
