    Order your King Cake today! "El Dia de los Reyes Magos" is a traditional Spanish holiday celebrated with one of the most delicious treats you'll ever taste. At Jaleo DC, we're selling full Roscón de Reyes (King Cakes) for you to enjoy at home (or at the restaurant!). This brioche-like cake is shaped into a ring like the Three Kings' crowns, and decorated with dried fruit, nuts and sugar. Each cake holds a hidden bean and king figure. As tradition goes, if you find the bean, you have to buy the cake next year, but if you find the king, you'll have good luck for the whole year! Get yours before they run out!

    Somehow, some way, this place continues to perform at the same high level as it did at its inception. Service is exceptional, and the food remains perfect. It's a local treasure that somehow has not rested on its laurels or begun a slow, slide to mediocrity.

    We are big fans of Jaleo and have been there many time for the fantastic food. The problem this night was that with outdoor temps below freezing, they seated is at a table immediately next to the front door so that every time it opened, we had a blast of freezing air. Two of our party had to wear winter coats at the table. When we asked if we could be moved (right after we sat down, before we had ordered or used any of the tableware) the response from the manager was blunt, rude, and sarcastic. Really unfortunate. They have no business using that table in cold weather.

    Fabulous food and service! The scallops with butternut squash puree, shrimp with garlic sauce, potatoes with brave sauce and garlic aioli and onions with pine nuts and blue cheese were fantastic as always. The flan was the perfect dessert. The service was quick despite a busy Saturday crowd and courteous.

    I took a few members of my work team out for a holiday lunch. Some had never been to Jaleo and I knew they would love it! We sat at one of the foos ball tables. As usual, the food was delicious, the drinks amazing, and the service impeccable.

    The food was so good but we had to wait awhile for our reservation which was disappointing and felt we had to rush through our meal since we had plans right after. If we had been seated when we got there it would’ve been a more enjoyable experience but the food was great.
