   We had a wonderful Mother’s Day Brunch!!! The food was excellent, well paced! Our server, N. Manoli, was attentive without being intrusive! All things considered it was a wonderful experience!!! This is why we always make Sunday Brunch a must do when we visit Clearwater!!!

   Island way has fresh food on display - raw bar and beef where you can see it next to waiting area. The sushi is delicious and quite fresh. I rated it 4 because we had to request and wait quite a while to get things. We got our sushi but no soy sauce or chopsticks. But it was fresh and delicious - we did order it without the mayo but it came that way. We ate it even tho they offered to remake. We both had an early bird dinner and the portions were perfect for us . It was very busy because of Mother’s Day so it was a bit noisy! Very good food .

   The noise level is so high that we had difficulty hearing each other. The food was good, but not exceptional. Service was very good, but again the noise level made it difficult to communicate with her.

   Our last meal at Island Way before we depart home to Canada. It’s our favourite restaurant, the food is always great and the service is impeccable, always. We have dined here 6 times the last two months and every time is consistently good. We always get a table outside by the water, and it’s the best. See you hopefully next year! 🇨🇦

    The service was the distraction. It seemed like they didn’t have enough staff or coordination to keep the tables clean, picking up dirty dishes, or filling up water glasses. We ordered fairly expensive items which arrived poorly cooked or missing needed utensils. For example, the stone crab arrived without any forks so there was no way to get to all the meat and when we asked for crackers so we could break the clause more they said they had run out and didn’t have any more available. Not really acceptable for this kind of restaurant.
