   I am booked a reservation for 2 on Wednesday, March 12th. Do to some miscommunication, my client didn’t show up. The restaurant manager and bartender were so cool. They set me up at the bar and I got served by the waiter. I had oysters on the half shell with a glass of Sencerre, then a glass of a Bordeax blend recommend by the waiter, a 8 oz tenderloin, medium rare with an Israeli salad. (The salad is actually crack cocaine disguised as food DELICIOUS). One of the finest meals I have had in years. I loved it so much I brought the client back the next night and w enjoyed the same meal plus a side of ginger glazed carrots (excellent)! I highly recommend this restaurant for food, service and ambiance. 5 - stars

   Terrible sewage smell that apparently has been going on for awhile based upon other reviews from weeks ago? They said it was some sort of issue with the building, but it's disgusting. We were stuck as it was a group dinner and no way to leave last minute for alternatives during SXSW week. The food is ok, but grossly overpriced and nowhere near comparable to many other Austin restaurants. There are probably 20 other steaks better and cheaper than this in a 5 mile radius. Service was average, and markups on wine/drinks were ridiculous. We will never go back, but then I don't think they will be around long at this rate anyway.

   Our experience at Aris left a lot to be desired. The Mediterranean veggie dishes outshined any of the meat we got - not a great sign for a steak house. The drinks were great. Our server was a bit stiff and was constantly trying to upsell us - felt more like a car salesman than someone with any sort of charisma

   The ambience we experienced was good if a bit loud Because the restaurant faces west, the setting sun is daunting so you want a table in the back. The service we experienced was warm and impeccable. From the host person to the server to the bus person, all were courteous and informative. They asked if we wanted our dishes explained in detail and I thought that was a good idea. I really despise, for example, unrequested, lengthy disquisitions on where the pine nuts in my side dish were sourced. That said, we wanted to hear what the servers had to say and their explanations were succinct and useful The meal began with an unsolicited bread serving. I am so tired of having to ask for bread. We loved it that it just was brought to us and it hot and yeasty. As to the three condiments served with it, each was different from the others but none was overwhelming. I really liked the. olive oil and orange marmelade-tasting one. We shared the Bluefin Tuna Tartare and the Chateaubriand tartare. Both were excellent: the Tuna was fresh and clean-tasting with a wonderful "crema" and an enormous seed cracker. The Chateaubriand was tangy and had a good "mouth feel," in addition to taste. The quail's egg on top was the exact right size and amount. It was the best beef tartare I have ever had. For main courses, my husband had the Panseared fish and I had the ribeye. We shared a side order of root puree. Here is where things slightly fell apart. The fish was overcooked so a bit dry - and way too salty. The ribeye was an excellent cut of meet almost destroyed by the amount of salt served on it. The root puree was mild and unusual - a mix of potato, sweet potato and something else. We both liked it and took the left-over portion home with us.

   Wonderful staff and sexy, fun atmosphere. All our food was so good… really enjoyed the Oysters with the homemade hot sauce. Matthew is an amazing bartender and makes an incredible shot called Southern Belle Stirrups 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

   Dan the GM very helpful and Frank the Boss was so friendly. He is quite experienced in Austin fine dining, and fine dining is exactly what Aris is. A lovely setting on West 6th St. Fun hip bar with a good design. Their early menu of cocktails is ok to date. I suspect they will hit full stride soon. Now the service and dining ambience is great. My wife’s filet was pink and juicy and me and my buddy s El Dorados were very tasty👍. Did I mention the melt in mouth gnocchi served with it?! Yum. Nice bread plate also offered. Derrick the somm was helpful with a decent Chablis and a quite good ganache from good old Rspana💪👍. Go to Aris and have a blast💥I believe that Dan and Frank will virtually guarantee u have a good time👍😎. All of us 111 peeps there last night sure did😁🥂🤩

    We went in on Sunday for the first time and absolutely loved everything and had to come back to bring our friends just 3 days later! Very single thing we’ve tried is amazing with great attention to detail. Lovely service and staff. Only thing, it’s a bit tricky to find the place and where to park initially.
