Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

Delicious Syrian food. Even a standard dish like humous was enhanced with whole chickpeas and fluffy warm pita bread - some of the best I have had in this country. The slow cooked lamb was wonderful. Service was friendly and helpful. 4.5 stars if I could give that. It was very noisy due to being full and hard surfaces, so next time I go I will try a late lunch or early dinner.

From the warm, friendly welcome to the seriously delicious food, I'm already thinking about when I can go back! Good vegetarian options and highly recommend the okra large plate.

Attentive staff and tasty food. It was Saturday evening so very crowded and hence noisy. It was difficult to hear other people at the table. We’ll go back another moment of the week.

Wow-factor on your plate! Very, very hard to find as this place is hidden but worth finding. Somewhat similar to Lebanese cooking but a little different, well prepared and delicious!
