Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs.
Il Corso restaurant offers genuine Italian hospitality serving a wonderful variety of traditional Italian dishes, fresh salads, homemade pastas, wood oven pizzas and delicious seafood. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Mario prepares nightly specials from all over Italy like “the world’s best gnocchi,” and our house specialty, roasted leg of veal. Start your meal off with an Italian style inspired cocktail and remember to save room for all of your favorite Italian homemade desserts to complement your dinning experience.

    Our waiter, Cristopher was not friendly at all. We didn't see him smile once, and he spoke so low voiced, you really had to listen to understand him. Even when we said he had the drink order wrong, he just shrugged and walked away. The food was great. Very tasty. It was a nice low noise level so that the 6 of us could hear each other and catch up.
