It’s simple really, our calling card is sustainable Scottish seafood.

Our name comes from the Gaelic word for fish. It’s a wee bit tricky to pronounce, but it’s no bother if guests don’t get it quite right. With delicious fresh produce served by our very own Head Chef, Sean Currie, you'll feel the energy in the way we go about things – our warm welcome, enthusiasm for what we do, and, of course, a splash of Glaswegian banter.

Serving sustainable Scottish seafood is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why £1 on every bill goes to The Firth Forth Lobster Hatchery, who hatch, rear and release lobsters to ensure stocks remain plentiful for future generations. Sea more on Instagram: @lobsterhatchery

Lovely restaurant, service was great and waiting staff were very attentive. The afternoon tea is priced at £45 per person however, I had a discount voucher which reduced the price to £30 per person, When the cake stand arrived, it was well presented. The first sandwich I had was the salmon however, the bread had gone hard as it had obviously been made up and left out all day (our booking was at 3.30pm so it may have been put together earlier in the day.) The pistachio cake was also hard, it too had been left out but.everything else was fine. The scones were warm and tasty, the jelly, pastry tarts and meringue were all delicious and not hard but that could be due to their textures. Overall, it was a lovely experience with a great selection of tea and coffee but it was the stale sandwich and cake that let it down. For a five star hotel, with five star prices, you expect a five star afternoon tea.

Lovely afternoon tea. Staff were so attentive and had a friendly manner. Contents of the tea didn't initially looks loads but by the time we were finished we were completely stuffed. Unlimited tea and coffee with a wide range of both. Would recommend. It was a lovely treat.

This was our second afternoon tea in as many years and we were so looking forward to our afternoon tea with bubbles and were warmly welcomed back upon arrival. However, that is where our enjoyment fizzled out and it took over 40 mins for us to be served our afternoon tea towers, and the staff were not very attentive to us or any other customers. Pretty disappointing overall with average food. Sadly expected more from such a respected venue. Can't see us coming back again.

Had afternoon tea to celebrate a lovely friend’s big birthday. The food was great and the staff friendly and professional. It was a little expensive but worth it as it was a special treat.

A very nice environment with plenty of people contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. Despite a number of reviews complaining about service times we were pleasantly surprised by the prompt and efficient service we experienced. The young team dealing with service were friendly and informative without being intrusive. It is a lovely restaurant with plenty of space between the tables to allow for privacy. We would have preferred one large scone and a couple more sandwiches rather than the two scones that were quite heavy going, but we are nitpicking because the whole tea arrangement was delicious. Our glasses of Prosecco were of good quality and set us up for a very pleasant afternoon.

I had expectations that it wouldn’t be that great as it’s a restaurant that’s part of a hotel. However I was happily proved wrong. The drinks were outstanding. Huge shout out to the amazing French cocktail bar man. The food was also fabulous. Super tasty and the best meal I’ve had for a long while. Highly recommend.
